The grounds surrounding the Welcome Center include a pet relief area, children's play area with a Great Lakes shipwreck theme, an I LOVE NY sculpture, electric vehicle charging stations, a motorcycle shelter, and parking spaces for cars, buses/RVs, and trucks. Yorktown Paw Park at Sylvan Glen Park Preserve The Yorktown Paw Park at Sylvan Glen Park Preserve in Mohegan Lake, NY, is great for bringing Fido to play! This fenced-in recreation area in the woods welcomes pups to play, explore and socialize off-leash. There are separate sections for dogs depending on size. Small dogs have a 0.4-acre space, and large dogs have a 0.9-acre space dedicated to them. See Details
Scentral Dog Park Scentral Dog Park in the town of Halfmoon is where local canines go to hang out. The park is divided into a small and large section and stacked with equipment to play on. Dogs and humans can rehydrate at the water fountain provided. Visitors must have a permit that can be applied for by both town residents and non-residents. Simply fill out the Dog Park Permit Application on the website, provide the required documentation and submit it to the Town Clerks Office in the Town Hall. Fido is welcome to enjoy off-leash exercise and play in one of two fenced areas allocated for small dogs under 20lbs or larger dogs exceeding 20lbs. The dog park has artificial grass to ensure the area is kept clean, and fresh water to fill bowls for thirsty pups. Como Lake Bark Park Como Lake Bark Park is an off-leash dog park located at Como Lake Park in Lancaster, NY. Fido can enjoy exploring and running with friends in two separate fenced areas for large and small dogs. A parking lot and restroom are available right in front of the dog park entrance.
