Off-Leash Dog Parks in Pennsylvania

Beau's Dream Dog Park at Buchanan Park in Lancaster, PA, is a hit with many locals. There is a small and large dog area with splash pads, a tunnel on the small dog side and a tennis ball tree that launches tennis balls on the large dog side. Benches are also available for pet parents to sit as they watch their furry friend socialize.

Fido is invited to play at Canine Meadows, an off-leash facility located within John C. Rudy Park in York, PA. There are three enclosed areas for dogs of all sizes to run. Dogs are required to be state-licensed, vaccinated and wearing current ID tags.

Fido is invited to play at Polk Valley Dog Park in Hellertown, PA. This 1+ acre Dog Park features separate areas for small and large dogs with seating for owners. Be sure to check their website for any potential maintenance closures.

The Larry R. Fabrizi Dog Park is located within McClelland Park in Erie, PA. This dedicated off-leash pup recreation area features separate sections for small and large dogs, agility equipment, water and plenty of shade. Leashed dogs are also welcome on trails within the main park. Dog owners are reminded to clean up any mess that their pups leave behind and to monitor them while they play in the park.

Fido is invited to play at Bubba's Happy Tails Dog Park in Shippensburg, PA. The off-leash facility features two sides with water fountains, benches and a double gate entry. This area is an easy spot to stay all day, as the Cumberland Valley Rail Trail is adjacent to the dog park.

Jager & Friends Dog Park, located behind Georgian Place, is Somerset, PA's first off-leash dog park. There are benches, picnic tables, a pavilion and separate areas for large and small dogs. Bring Fido to socialize and make new friends!

Fido is invited to play at Norlo Dog Park in Fayetteville, PA. The area is located on a 143-acre historic farm that features this fenced-in area. All dogs are welcome with the option of entering the larger or smaller dog section.

Fido is invited to play at Paws Park in South Williamsport, PA. The off-leash facility includes a small and large dog section with a seasonal water source on each side of the park. This area is 100% maintained by volunteers who raise funds to enhance and sustain Paws Park.

West Mill Creek Park in Narbeth, PA, is a beautiful, small, and shady pet-friendly park that welcomes dogs off-leash. A creek runs along one side of the recreation space where dogs and people swim and play. Please note that this park is not securely fenced off from the road.

Grange Park Dog Park in Allentown, PA features a fenced-in off-leash area. There are two sections separated by size, including a large dog section and a small dog section. Afterward, take a walk around the rest of Grange Park with your leashed pooch, but don't forget to clean up any mess that is left behind.

Cedar Creek Dog Park is an ideal spot to bring Fido for social off-leash exercise in Belle Vernon, PA. The dog park has four fully-fenced areas; two allocated for small dogs and two for large dogs. The sections open on a rotating basis to allow for ground maintenance. Inside the dog park you will see water fountains, dog waste stations, and benches from which owners can watch their dogs at play. Cedar Creek Park has several trails for you and Fido to enjoy, the longest of which is the Great Allegheny Passage North alongside the Youghiogheny River.

The Schuylkill River Dog Park in Philadelphia, PA, features separate areas for small and large pups to exercise and play off-leash. This fenced recreation space also includes biodegradable waste bags and fountains. Fido must be on a leash before returning to the larger community park.

The Penn Township Municipal Dog Park in Harrison City, PA features separate fenced areas for large and small breeds, a walking track, water fountains for dogs and humans, waste bags and trash cans.

The Dog Penn is an indoor/outdoor dog park and bar in Pittsburgh, PA. The indoor area is home to a variety of events and features a 15-foot garage door that opens up to 2,500 square feet of turfed outdoor space. All dogs must be registered with current vaccinations, and daily, monthly and annual memberships are available.

Speelhoffer Dog Park is an off-leash area for Fido in Pottstown, PA. The park is separated into two areas for small and large dogs, totaling 7 acres. A DCNR grant funded this outdoor facility.

W. Leroy Lewis Dog Park, previously Middle Smithfield Township Dog Park, is conveniently located right off of Route 209 in East Stroudsburg, PA. This beautiful, large park has separate sections for large and small dogs, a gravel walking path around the outside of the off-leash areas, shade trees, seating and 6' tall fences. A water spigot is located in the parking lot to provide water for the dogs. In the winter, the park is home to the Township’s temporary ice rink for skating.

This pup recreation area features separate sections for small and large dogs, benches and bowls. There is no water source, so dog owners are asked to bring along water for their pets.

Cumberland Valley Dog Park is located behind the County's Animal Shelter in Chambersburg, PA. The park is a fenced-in outdoor facility split into a small and large dog section. Each area is primarily grassy flatland with trees, benches and a water station.
