If your pup is ready to become a BARK Ranger, take him to Petrified Forest National Park in Arizona. Already one of the most dog-friendly national parks in the country, they’ve recently opened their very own dog run, the Petrified Fur-Rest Bark Park. Furry visitors and Route 66 travelers can stretch their legs off leash in the first dog park located within a national park. The new space is located near the Painted Desert Visitor Center right off Interstate 40. It features separate areas for large and small dogs, benches for their humans, shade, a tunnel and even an out-of-commission fire hydrant.

After making new friends in the dog park, becoming a BARK Ranger and exploring the national park, Fido will want to rest up at La Posada Hotel, just down the highway in Winslow, AZ.

Pasadena Playhouse Village Park

Gang’s all here! Photo by @playhousevillage

People and pups in California's City of Roses are excited for the new Pasadena Playhouse Village Park, a one-acre community hub with a children’s play area, stage, lighted walkways, restrooms and, most importantly, a dog run. The canine area is divided into separate spaces for small and large dogs, and walkways throughout the park are shaded and include waste bags and water stations. The Van Halen Stage, named after the legendary music group that hails from Pasadena, will often feature live music, and a kiosk that will include food and beverages is still in the works.

At the end of the day, grab dinner a few blocks away on the pet-friendly patio of El Portal. Then put your paws up at this Pasadena Bungalow, also within walking distance to the park.

Voodoo Brewing Co.- Pittsburgh Pub is the 11th location across three states for the Pennsylvania brewery. Located on the North Shore of Pittsburgh, the new site features a pet-friendly patio and a wrap-around deck that overlooks the confluence of the Allegheny, Monongahela and Ohio Rivers. While the menu includes a long list of delicious food options, the Good Vibes West Coast IPA and Voodoo Love Child Fruited Belgian Tripel are two of the brewery’s staple items. With the brewery nestled between PNC Park and Acrisure Stadium, you and Fido can stop in to enjoy a pint during watch parties for Pirates and Steelers games. The patio includes several outdoor fire pits for keeping your pup’s paws toasty warm when the temperature dips.

After cheering on your favorite black and gold team, spend the night at Residence Inn Pittsburgh North Shore and take Fido for a walk along the Allegheny River and around PNC Park.
