Douglas Family Preserve

Douglas Family Preserve is one of two off-leash dog parks in Santa Barbara, CA. This 70-acre property features hiking trails, as well as a beach where your dog can run leash free. Dog owners should bring poop bags and fresh water for their pups.

Arroyo Burro Beach Park

This off-leash beach in City of Santa Barbara is the beach that runs below the Douglas Family Preserve -- it begins east of the slough at Arroyo Burro Beach (the locals call it Hendry's Beach), and stretches almost to the steps at Mesa Lane. The fallen eucalyptus trees are considered the eastern boundary. From the parking lot at Arroyo Burro, walk to the beach, turn left, and cross the slough -- this will bring you to the off-leash legal area. Please be sure your dog is leashed in the parking lot and on the beach until you cross the slough.

Oceanfront Trail

Bring your pets for a stroll on this grassy, beachside trail. They're welcome to join you on-leash.

DeeTours of Santa Barbara

DeeTours of Santa Barbara offers dog-friendly city tours and wine tours. Enjoy your tour in either a soft-top Jeep Wrangler or a convertible Jeep Limousine. The city tour shows off the landmarks in Santa Barbara and Montecito while also highlighting great places to eat, shop, or take in the scenery. The wine tour includes stops at four wineries as well as all tasting fees, an organic picnic lunch, and a stop in the Danish community of Solvang. As an added perk, you don't need to worry about directions, navigating through an unfamiliar city, or parking. DeeTours picks you up from your hotel room and brings you back to the hotel once your tour is over. Enjoy the best of Santa Barbara while leaving the driving to DeeTours.

Santa Barbara Winery

The Santa Barbara Winery in downtown Santa Barbara is a great place to go and have some wonderful wine with your dogs. Wine tastings are available.
