  The room was spotless and quiet which meant no growling or barking from our dog due to “unseen” noises. Perfect for our one night on the road stay. Will definitely be back and asking for the same room!

  A great hotel

  We were travelling with two big doodles but still appreciate having a nice, clean place to stay. La Quinta delivered. The room was a suite so the dogs had room to stretch out on the floor to play with their toys.
  The bed was very comfy and the staff at the front desk were friendly and accommodating. I would have given this hotel 5 bones, but there really wasn’t a big enough grass area for them to play on. It was fine for their “business” though. Our room was right in front of a parking lot lamp and we couldn’t close the drapes all of the way shut so if you are light sensitive, that would be a problem. I brought a sleeping mask so I was fine. Overall, a wonderful place to stay and, yes, we will return.

  Missing a sheet on one bed. Floors were very dirty. Not vacuumed and shower didn’t drain.

  Nice Location

  Easy on and off ramps, Room had no pet smell and was very clean. Breakfast was OK and the staff was fine. This was our second time staying there.

  Great location

  This is the second time I have stayed there. Both times on the 3rd floor. My guess that is where all the dog families stay but I don't know that for certain. I wish they would have had eggs or some kind of protein for breakfast. The breakfast other than that was well stocked. Very clean. The man tending to it really kept it looking nice. The ladies at the front desk while checking in and out were very nice. The area to walk your dog is not that big but enough space for them to do their business. Easy location to highway. Plenty of food options.

  The location is great and just off the highway, but in a quiet enough spot we could take a good walk. Pet areas are not large, but ample enough for dogs to do what they need to. Hotel was clean, staff was great. Pet rooms are not just on floors 1 and 2; they had multiple dogs on 3 and 4 as well. Only downside - beds were hard as a rock, and if you have allergies, you'll wake up not breathing (our poor son was stuffed up the entire vacation).

  Clean and well kept room

  They delivered as requested - a room away from the lobby, close to a side exit. Room was very clean and no discernible odor of prior pets. The pet area outside was rather small but conveniently close. Breakfast options were limited so we skipped it completely. Would recommend for overnight stays with pets.

  Small, but easy to access pet relief area. Room was super comfortable and clean. It is a 25-minute drive to New River Gorge National Park, but lots of great food options.

  Great stay!

  The staff was very friendly. They had us in the first floor which made taking the dogs out so easy. They had a few grassy areas to use for potty breaks. And they also had a pretty good free breakfast with eggs and sausage. I definitely plan on returning if we stay in Morgantown again.

  La Quinta hotels have always been so comfortable and cordial to dog owners and the Morgantown property was no different. We and our dog was warmly welcomed and our room was clean, pleasant and we enjoyed our stay. We'll be back should we return to the area.

  We were greeted by the front desk young lady. She was very friendly and had a warm personality. The room was very nice and there was lots of room for us and our dog. The area has lots of restaurants and shopping very close by. The only downside was coffee very weak and the choice of food was not the best for people trying to eat healthy. Otherwise it was very enjoyable experience.

  Rooms are large, clean and spacious. Staff are both people and dog friendly. Good breakfast. Easy access off highway. Would definitely stay here again.

  Very good "overnight" stay

  La Quinta tried hard but there's not much grass to exercise or explore - but plenty to "do my business" and two pet stations! I barked once at 2 am when guests came in next door and woke me up but it was quieter than expected for a "college" hotel. I didn't see any other dogs. The people behind the desk were VERY nice - even gave me treats. I did not want to leave!

  It's an updated/newish facility. Very comfortable, if high, beds. The refrigerator kept things cold but we didn't freeze anything. There was a microwave. Coffee is available in the lobby 24/7. There is a Petco near by and a Walmart Supercenter. Dad: there is a walk in shower - nice but the door doesn't keep the water in very well. Enjoyed the breakfast and the coffee was good.

  What I truly appreciated about this hotel was the spaciousness of the rooms and bathroom! No need to feel like you are crammed together, climbing over luggage, like some other hotel chains. If we had a dog-only room, I never knew it! The entire facility was very clean. They also had a policy that allowed dogs to remain in the rooms unsupervised - which is not true of every hotel. Nice variety of cable channels - something for everyone. Breakfast was hot and well-stocked; plenty of seating. Pool was a bit over-chlorinated.

  This is a great place for pets!!! Room very nice with a complimentary breakfast. Poop stations easily accessible. Plenty of room to walk your dog no matter the size. Will definitely return here on my way between NY and Florida.

  Treated Well

  Our dog was welcomed as we were. During our stay we saw other fur friends. Only negative was stress of keeping our dog quiet at every other dog bark, child voice or person walking past our door. We didn’t want to disturb other guests without fur friends.

  Maybe they were having a bad day

  The hotel was full of dogs and dog owners due to a dog show. That part was great! But only one of the two elevators was working, the internet was not working (technician had been called but not yet arrived) and the coffee maker in our room was missing a part and not operational. All a bit frustrating after 9 hours on the road. And the breakfast was not nearly as good as other La Q’s we’ve stayed in. On the plus side the room very clean and comfortable. Lovely king bed.

  This is a pleasant, clean, and friendly hotel. It gets four bones only because the walking area is very limited for small dogs. Everything else is as it should be.

  This is the second time I've stayed here with my dogs. We've had a great experience both times. The cost to stay with pets is very reasonable. It was only $40 to stay 2 days with 2 dogs. We will be back!

  I would stay here again.

  Nice room, reasonable rates, friendly employees. We stopped here on a trip so only one night. The only reason for not giving 5 stars is the dog walk areas. They fit the purpose tho small, but the amount of trash on the ground (paper plates, napkins, cans, etc) as well as the apparently long-standing refusal of other guests to pick up after their pets made finding a clean place a bit difficult.

  Great for traveling with pets!

  The hotel was very accommodating and we had no issues with our pups. I was nervous that we'd have an issue over their breed, but all was good!

  We had a minor issue with the cleanliness of the room, which I notified the staff about when we were leaving and they apologized and discounted our stay without any issue.

  Overall I would definitely stay here again and likely at other pet friendly La Quinta hotels in the future. It was nice not having to worry about boarding our dogs and being able to have them with us.

  Solid spot for Spot!

  Clean room, comfy bed, friendly staff. My pup and I only spent one night here and we sprang for the deluxe king which was worth it and very comfortable. Would stay here again!

  2nd time stayers

  This is our second stay at the hotel, but the first with our dog. The hotel is nice, and did a great job with all the changes due to COVID-19. Only 2 things that I impact my rating of the hotel are; the room fridge fan was going bad so it was loud (we notified the desk but they didn’t do anything about it) so we unplugged it and the parking lot lights are very bright (which is good) but Because they are so bright the light shines through the room shades/curtains. Neither of this two things would change our decision to stay at the hotel again, and we probably will next year! Hotel is easy access off the highway and not too far from town. Thanks for the hospitality!

  Four Bones Approved

  A very nice, clean hotel with a very friendly staff. The ONLY reason we didn't give 5 Bones was because of the walking space for our pups. There was an outside area for pets; but, when your on the side of a mountain, not much room to walk/do their business without falling off the edge. Otherwise, definitely a place we would stay again.

  Update: This was a great hotel and we’d stay there again even with the pet fee.
