Howl You Doin!?

This photo was taken in St. Michaels, MD. Other than shedding 365 days a year, huskies are known for their howling. This is a common response to other high pitch sounds. The sound of sirens or baby cries can be mistaken as another huskies howl. This is an ancestral trait of the breed. Your husky will instinctively respond as a form of intercourse. If your husky is unwell they will also use this communication to let their master know they have a medical issue. Howling may be an expression when your ‘big-ole-fluff-ball’ is feeling happy as well. Huskies are known to serenade their owner when they are excited to see them or when they want to play. Every howl sounds a little different, conveying a particular message. Bandit, the Siberian husky uses his howl to tell us when he wants to go outside for walks. This is also hilariously entertaining to banter back-and-forth with your companion!🥰
