This photo was taken in St. Michaels, MD. I would even love it more if people were extra mindful of their precious companions. Temperatures inside automobiles increase rapidly in a short matter of time. Simply cracking your driver’s side window is NOT adequate. My wish this season is for caregivers to put a five minute time limit on their unattended animals inside vehicles. Creating airflow with accessibility for their dog to maneuver freely throughout the vehicle is crucial, as is leaving them access to cool water in a bowl placed in the shade on the floor mat. Happy outings to all…and if you can’t care for your dog properly while you run errands, it would be wise to leave Fido in the safety and security of your own home.
