Easy freeway access
Best Western El RenoEast to find and just across the highway from everything. Very handy. I had a king room but was in the second floor which wasn’t great with my dog. I chose the walk-in shower option and it was more like a climb in shower at about 13 inches off the floor. But wonderful once in it! The room appeared to be missing the arm chair which would have been nice for TV viewing. Breakfast was decent. Had a few GF options, always appreciated. Room was in the back building near the dog zone so potty outings were easy.

Very welcoming
Homestead MotelSuper easy to find! Mika (one of the owners) was very proactive on everything related to our stay. Upon arrival we chatted and she provided lots of information and I met the resident cat, Casper. The room was very clean and comfortable. There’s a pizza place next door and only a short drive to other restaurants. The dog area is next to the property, very close and lit at night. Would recommend!

Not great
Wyndham Garden GreensboroMy dog and I were placed in the very last room at the end of two long hallways. Very inconvenient when having to take her out for potty/exercise. Both elevators seldom worked. The water got to ‘warm enough’ for a shower but far from hot. No towel racks and the shower curtain rod was installed incorrectly so the curtain wouldn’t stay extended during my shower. Bed was decent. Didn’t use my breakfast ticket. The bar on the property was handy but not great.

Unexpected treatment!
Kimpton Hotel Palomar Philadelphia an IHG HotelUpon arrival I was told the hotel was shifting to a new computer system and I couldn’t be checked in. Since I was traveling with my dog I was guided to a park two blocks away. That was the only bad experience of my stay (having to wait, not the park). Everything else was wonderful. Was placed in a fantastic corner room. The room itself was great. Social hour was fun and the restaurant had amazing food. The entire staff from valet to restaurant servers were fabulous! Everyone was so accommodating. Recommend highly!

Pleasant stay
Baymont by Wyndham Branford/New HavenEnjoyed our stay. Room was clean and comfortable. Dog area was easy to access. Convenient parking. Staff was very friendly. Only downside is that breakfast was pretty sparse especially for gluten free needs.

Huge place!
Best Western Plus Kingston Hotel and Conference CenterThis place is huge! I felt we walked a mile to our room! But once settled I moved our car and it was super handy. Multiple dog areas. Handy laundry room. Our room faced the very large indoor activity area. There’s a work out space, pool, chill zone and a whole zone of video games! Some room face this area, like ours, which is kind of weird. Love that there was a dinner restaurant. Salmon was delicious! Breakfast was good too. Unique but would stay again.

Nice grounds
Hampton Inn LancasterEasy to park and check in. Great area to walk my dog. Quite a few restaurants in the same complex (check operating days and hours). Room was nice. Breakfast had lots of options. Most of staff was nice and helpful but found one (late night) to be dismissive of my request.

Fantastic Stay!
Hampton Inn Pittsburgh GreentreeThe staff is amazing! So helpful. Great dog zone (well lit at night). Was able to get GF options at breakfast which was wonderful. The room had a desk that included a rolling table. Super convenient! Location is a bit outside of the tourist zone but hopping on the freeway is very quick. Ask for a room facing the front if you’re a light sleeper. A highway above the property apparently doesn’t have a compression brake restriction so you’ll hear semis going by.

Great location!
Hotel LincolnBeing right across the street from Lincoln Park was great. Many good walks with my dog. Valet team was super! Short walk to the Chicago History Museum and not too far to the L. Room was functional but a little small. Had a lake view room which was worth it. The rooftop bar is amazing (bring a jacket!) and the staff was very friendly.

Great place!
Residence Inn by Marriott LouisvilleI would have given a 5-bone rating, but my particular room smelled of curry. It was pervasive and kept me up at night. Everything else was fabulous. Other than the odor, pretty sure it was specific to this one unit, all other aspects were great. The room was clean and large. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Dog area was handy and large. Would recommend (if assigned a different unit). Bristol Bar & Grille (just a 9 minute walk) was great!

Comfort Suites Cedar FallsFantastic room! The couch has the chaise design plus two ottomans. Shower head has multiple settings. Bed was very comfortable. The room was clean and ours was close to the dog area. Enough options for breakfast. Would stay again.

Convenient
Thunderbird LodgeLove a motor inn when traveling with my dog. Place was set up well and had decent food options just a short drive away. Enough choices at breakfast for a GF diet. Would stay again.

Love a suite!
GrandStay Residential Suites Rapid CityMost of our stay was great! Love the extra space a suite provides. Thought it odd there was only a queen bed, not a king, but not an issue. Water pressure in the shower was amazing but it was almost impossible to turn the water off completely. Also, the first morning I could only get the water to very warm, but day two was better. Could hear conversations in the next room’s bathroom, so don’t expect privacy. Didn’t experience this in the other rooms. Breakfast was a little skimpy for anyone avoiding gluten. Day one had a scrambled egg patty, but not day two where yogurt and a fruit cup were the only options. The yogurt machine is a joke. Could barely get 1/4 cup before it apparently ran out. Other than food, our stay was pretty good.

Great Stay!
Fairbridge Inn & Suites Miles CityMy pup and I enjoyed our stay at FairBridge. Reception staff was super friendly and helpful. I had booked so long ago I had forgotten about the kitchenette. Nice surprise! Room was spacious and clean. Bed was super comfy! Large dog space outside but not very well lit at night. Overall, convenient and worth the price.

Sufficient but not great
Motel 6 Bozeman MTNot a big fan. Initial interaction was with the afternoon reception staff member who was either a dingbat or under the influence of something. Morning staff was great. Poor noise insulation. I didn’t hear conversations but lots of loud thuds! It was pretty quiet from 10p-6a. Room was clean. Slept fine. Bed was a little firm for me and the covers were too light (top sheet, very thin blanket and a super light bed spread). Dog zone was out back, nice grassy area, but across the street were a couple of homeless campers.

Good for a quick stay
Relax Inn ChehalisConvenient location. It’s an older motel with all that implies. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. The dog area is just a strip along the road on the back side of the motel. Parking right in front of the room was handy.

Convenient
Sugarloaf Mt MotelEasy location right on the main highway where it passes through town (35 mph zone). My dog and I had a newly renovated room. Simplistically updated. Tons of closet/drawer space if you’re staying more than a night or two. The bathroom door wouldn’t close, at all Solo traveler, so not a big issue. Very nice pet area! Breakfast was decent, but not overly impressive. It was generally quiet, except for some sporadic road traffic noise. Short drive to Sawyer Park and its bridge over the Deschutes River. Lots of food options within a short drive. Would stay again.

Pretty Nice Stay
La Quinta by Wyndham Las Vegas Summerlin TechEnjoyed our stay. Pet rooms are on the first floor for convenience. Roomy walk-in shower. Bed had seen better days but was comfortable enough. A couple stains on the carpet (one in room and a large one in the hallway), but otherwise it appeared very clean. Breakfast was decent. Only a couple gluten free options, but seemed to have good choices in non-GF foods. No vending machines that I could locate. Would stay again.

Comfortable
Winnemucca Holiday MotelVery comfortable room. Was able to park right in front of the room which was very convenient. Room was clean. Bathroom was a little dated (loudest flushing toilet I’ve ever heard and loud fan too). Breakfast was sufficient. Motel personnel was friendly and helpful. There’s a grassy area by the street for dogs (with poop bags and trash container). Would stay again. Close to restaurants, gas and the freeway.

Nice room
Hampton Inn Los Angeles Santa ClaritaOur room was very nice. Great layout. With two elevators we never had to wait long to run out for potty breaks. My dog was very appreciative.
