Good for Fido, not so much people
Tenaya at YosemiteThe Lodge is run on a little staffing and as cheaply as possible. They just can’t seem to get the little things right, especially with food. Dogs had fun enough in the snow to get three bones. Plenty of room and tolerance for them, too. Just expect to be disappointed with many guest services.
Pets accepted, no necessarily pet friendly
Best Western Plus Agate Beach InnStay went well but they send you to a separate entrance so that you “don’t disturb people in the lobby”? Best way to describe the experience is that dogs are tolerated but not welcome.
Beautiful location, great beach for doggies
Windermere on the BeachWhat a remarkable location, overlooking face rock beach! Path leads down to beautiful beach for dogs. Be careful…horses also frequent the beach and can startle dogs unfamiliar with horses. Great people, great room. Really pleased!
Great stay for doggies
Best Western Plus Twin View Inn & SuitesNo complaints. Just what we expected.
Fantastic visit at Sleepy J
Sleepy J CabinsVery clean, staff is super friendly and helpful. Dogs love the grassy areas! Highly recommended! Will visit again.
Great stay
La Quinta by Wyndham Seattle Sea-Tac AirportNice doggie area. Everyone was very friendly. It was a great home base for sightseeing. Will come back again.
Stranded in Medford
My Place Hotel Medford ORChanged pet size policy and would not honor confirmed reservation. Stranded in booked solid Medford with two dogs and no place to stay. Thanks, My Place. Ruined our trip and caused a considerable amount of unnecessary grief and stress to this doggy family. Bad, My Place, bad. You need a time out and no treat for you. Seriously, we’ll never stay with them, ever.
Good, if you can park on the south side of the building
Best Western Holiday HotelThey put dog owners in the far building and tell you to park on the back side. Woke up next morning and was blocked in by inconsiderate drivers. Had to wait until someone moved and then had to back all the way out (turnaround impossible in dead ended one way lot). So if you go, it’s pretty much standard stay IF you park on the inside parking lot with two way traffic.
Staff making noise at 4am woke us all
SureStay Hotel By Best Western Twin FallsUnnecessary noise (slamming doors, throwing things down, etc) woke our dogs up at 4am and kept making noise throughout the morning. Could not get a good night's sleep.
Noisy employees at 4am
SureStay Plus Hotel by Best Western GatlinburgThoughtless and noisy employees slamming doors and banging around had our dogs (and us) awakened at 4am. If you’re willing to risk not getting a good night's sleep, you might ask for a room in the back of the building. We certainly won’t risk it again.
Nice for dogs, so-so for people
Ramada by Wyndham ElyPeople were nice, friendly, happy to see the dogs. But they put us upstairs and the stairs are steep and narrow. On our sundries was a bottle of mouthwash that was opened and almost empty. Yuk...
Location, location, location
Hotel Milo Santa BarbaraGreat location, near wharf and marina. Short walk to downtown. Amenities are impacted by CV19 (no pool, no housekeeping, etc). Check first if there’s something you’re not willing to go without or ask for at the desk if you need it (more towels, TP, soaps, etc). Not a problem for a 1-2 night stay, but if you’re staying longer, they should plan for your needs better. Otherwise, I’d give 5 stars since the pups were happy. Great dog beach 9 min away, with a self service dog wash in the parking lot.
