Generous Canine Hospitality
Hampton Inn Ottawa (Starved Rock Area)At check in, offered bag of healthy treats, brochure for local daycare and grooming, and warm welcoming by two staff at desk. More than an acre of grass leashed roaming etc. Country Kitchen, Taco Bell, and refueling adjacent to quit location accessible easily from I80. Rooms (King, Accessible) quiet, clean and smelled fresh. Generous breakfast offerings with ample seating.

Great location on Lake Michigan Shore
Comfort InnPark across highway with walking path. Big Boy restaurant just steps away. Grassy fringe for doggy relief. Clean comfort in our king suite. Staff accommodating. Sparely outfitted bathroom stuff, but sufficient. Highly recommended.

Excellent in All Respects
La Quinta by Wyndham Macon WestWe had a second floor King Suite, spacious and top quality. Next to the stairs (elevator available) leading to a well lighted “relief” area with poop bags. Human amenities (indoor pool, exercise area,) clean. Better than average full breakfast. Easy off I75. Price us right. Go for it.

Embassy Suites by Hilton Lexington/Uk ColdstreamOutstanding hotel with ample roaming space for Fido. Huge interior atrium, fountains, and fully ramped for accessibility. Ample full breakfast prepared by a chef. Room service and happy hour are delightful. Pricey, but full value.

Good Quiet Location
Ashley Quarters HotelNot many Fido options and this one in Florence is clean and adequate. A King Suite, fully equipped on ground floor facing toward a large parking lot, was dark (one window) and tightly furnished. Our third stay there showed signs of age but for one night okay. Breakfast is minimal continental. Safe well lit Fido walking.

Just Plain Good, Southern hospitality
La Quinta by Wyndham LoudonSituated in the foothills to Appalachian mountains, this hamlet’s accommodations are modest, but La Quinta does not fail. Good value, for a spacious King Suite, with stylish industrial metal appointments; clean and airy. The usual hot breakfast. Hillside walks for Fido. Staff Southern cordial. Go for it.

Work in Progress, Patience Necessary
Equus Inn OcalaDon’t overlook the “in progress” cautions; eventually this should be a gem. A former budget hotel being reconstructed with far higher aspirations in real time means just that. Evidence of construction abounds. We arrived the Saturday prior to Super Bowl enroute to Michigan from Captiva, with reservation. Our greeting was friendly and we got upgraded to a poolside King Suite. This was not yet renovated, but the two rooms were huge, clean, but ready for a makeover. All OK. The grassy area in the surrounding neighborhood is great for Fido. Breakfast was adequate; the price and staff attitude were superb. Someday....

Convenient and Basic
Comfort Inn & Suites Sarasota I75Quiet location adjacent to I75. Large hotel with good pet walking opportunities on and off property. Several restaurants adjacent. Our king suite was one large room with basic furnishings eg. no dining table except the desk. Staff unevenly helpful. Good for overnight; less for extended stay.

Compact and Clean
La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Chattanooga - East RidgeTightly sited among several motels, this apparently upgraded Inn would deserve a fifth bone if it had more grass or safe areas for pet walking. Modest space for continental breakfast. One elevator car services three floors. Our suite was very ample, clean, and quiet.

Six Bone Treasure
Wingate by Wyndham Valdosta/Moody AFBProbably the most gracious and hospitable staff we’ve had the pleasure to encounter in many miles, Inn arranged around a small but gorgeous garden and pool area with grills. Some rooms are “ city facing” but look toward adjacent Texas Roadhouse” etc or nearby I-75. Noise reducing windows work. Fantastic dog walking grassy areas and a small dedicated fenced park just feet from side exits. Rooms are clean and odor free, amazing given the great number of registered pets. We dined on a full hot southern breakfast on the patio overlooking the pool, with our Retriever. This place sets a high bar on all dimensions.
