Overnight Necessity
Days Inn by Wyndham MinotFront desk staff was friendly. Plenty of room to park our truck and trailer. Perkins restaurant on site. No fuss about pets. And that’s all I’ve got to give. I wanted to give more bones because all the staff I encountered was nice and the rate was great. But the motel itself is old and outdated. There are permanent residents making noise outside. The room itself contained a hard bed with even harder pillows. Under a stained, threadbare comforter. It was a miserable nights sleep. The icing on the cake, was drying off with my dinky, thin towel that stank of cigarette smoke. UGH. Without some significant updating I cannot recommend this property.

Decent Green Space for Pups
La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Minneapolis Bloomington WAlthough I indicated 3 pets on my reservation form, I was informed on arrival that only 2 were permitted per room and that I would have to reserve another room for the additional pet. Which was unreasonable for a cat in a carrier and not acceptable at a rate of $170 BEFORE pet fees. However the clerk allowed my 3rd pet to stay in the room with us so for that they get 5 bones. The room was clean but small. The pool was unheated and in the basement. It is in the city. There is a decent green space for pups. Average stay overall but expensive for a La Quinta property and I was surprised about the 2 pet per room…usually La Quinta is more flexible than that.

Plenty of Room For Dog Walking
Best Western HickoryAverage room, clean. Easy to get to and pretty quiet considering the Hwy is nearby. Check-in was easy and a simple breakfast available the next day. Perfectly fine for an overnight while traveling.

Great Rooms, Great Dog Walking Areas
TownePlace Suites by Marriott Sioux FallsI realllly wanted to give this stay five bones. Our king 1 bedroom suite was updated, large, comfortable and clean. No problem checking in with our GSD and fat house cat. Fair pet fees. There are a couple different areas to walk your pets, including a treed area just over a little hill. BUTTTT….our room overlooked a small courtyard. Said courtyard had some kind of party going on beginning at 6:30PM. We could hear them word for word (and we were on the second floor). At 9PM we called to ask when they might be winding down as we had an early day the next day. We were told (politely) that they could go until 11PM but the clerk was going to check on them at 10PM. They partied right up until 11PM. Which kept us up later than we wanted to be. I think for a public area that causes that much noise disruption, it’s reasonable to be off limits by 10PM. Many travelers at hotels need to get up early. Our late night caused us to get a late start. I think things would have been fine if we had been on the opposite side of the hotel. If not for the noise, this would have been a five bone stay all the way. If you need to get your rest, I suggest asking for a room on the opposite side of the hall from the courtyard.

Good Location, Clean and Quiet
Candlewood Suites Columbia East an IHG HotelClean, good sized modern rooms. Nice snack selection. No problems with our dog and cat. Cons: No breakfast offered, dog walking area is small and near the road.

Easy To Get To, Fantastic Staff!
Quality Inn & SuitesOlder motel with simple, large, clean rooms. Some noise form doors closing but otherwise fine. Front desk staff very kind to us, our dog and our kitty. Quick breakfast was nice. Small pet area. Great for passing through!

Sweet Staff, Easy Access, Needs Updating
Baymont by Wyndham MinotThe staff and check in was great. The room was on the ground floor. Standard size with king bed, desk and chair. Deep soaking tub. No problems with our dog and cat. But…the carpet in the room was very, very stained. The cleaning lady missed a few spots as there was a lost bottle under the counter and a wadded up napkin behind the TV cabinet. No towels in the bathroom. The air didn’t work very well and our Alaska selves were roasting all night (windows don’t open). The fridge whined and had to be unplugged. The front desk clerk said they were replacing the carpets and that will definitely help. For the price, in its current condition, it wasn’t a great value.

Sweet Staff, Quiet Hotel

Convenient Location
Comfort Inn JamestownFriendly staff. Room was comfortable and clean. The chair in it was pretty rough but I believe they’re in the middle of updating. The bathroom was a good size. Pet fee was reasonable and they accepted my cat who was also traveling with us (3 pets in all). Parking was a bit tight for a truck with a trailer but we managed.

Excellent Price, Large Rooms
Motel 6 Regina SKFor the money, you just can’t beat this Motel 6. We had a massive suite with a jacuzzi tub. Everything was clean. No pet fee and dog bones at the front desk...what more could you ask for? The decor is a bit sparse but everything was clean and in working order. Front desk staff was friendly. It is in a city/shopping/suburb area so the green space is limited but acceptable. Really, the size of the room and welcoming our multiple pets...make this our go-to spot in Regina!

Great Location, Great Rooms, Great for and Pets!
Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham Sherwood Park EdmontonThe front staff was very friendly and welcoming for my two GSD’s and kitty. The room was large and nicely furnished. Bed was comfy with thick bedding (my favorite!). Ceramic tile floors made footprint clean up easy. Kitchen area was great for food prep and clean up. Quiet area. My husband took the dogs across the road to the park as the green space on the hotel property was limited. Overall, very nice hotel with a very reasonable pet fee and great accommodations!

Large Clean Rooms, Super Friendly
Travelodge Suites by Wyndham Regina / Eastgate BayGreat place to stay with the critters. The room was large and comfortable. We had a glass patio door that allowed easy access to the green space. The manager and front desk staff were super friendly, making a special accommodation for us that was appreciated by these tired travelers! Excellent stay!

The Ritz Cafe and Motor InnRoom was huge and clean if a bit outdated. Drapes and carpet a bit worn. Plenty of towels and shampoo/conditioner/soap available. Large green space for pets.
