We are a middle aged couple who love to travel with our fur babies. We have 2 small Shichons (half Shih Tzu and half Bichon Frise). They are housebroken to go potty outside on a leash. They are crate trained (playpen) if we have to leave them for a little while. They are friendly, and will greet you and other fur babies with excited barking. They will also bark if someone knocks on the door. Once they meet you they settle right down.

Nice area, many amenities!

Sonesta Simply Suites Nashville Brentwood

Hotel: This is a perfect set up for travelers with pups, the best we have stayed at yet! All room are suites and very clean with plenty of space. Each suite consisted of a kitchen, den area with sofa bed, separate bedroom and an extra large full bathroom that is comparable in price with hotel rooms that are smaller. Elevators mean you don't need a ground floor room, and the long paved walking path adjacent to the hotel is great for dog walkers and joggers. The staff were very friendly and eager to attend to anything we might need, which we didn't.

The area: Set in a clean neighborhood/commercial area south of Nashville just off of the main highway in Brentwood, Sonesta Simply Suites is near restaurants and fuel stations, and a short hop to the interstate. We stayed here to attend The Grand Ole Opry, which was just about a 15-20 minute ride north on the interstate. The area of Brentwood. Leipers Fork, and Franklin is great for traveling between on the backroads and finding all kinds of shops and antiques along with places to eat. If I'm ever in the area again, we will definitely be booking a suite at this hotel!

Super clean

La Quinta by Wyndham Rockwall

I think La Quinta has us for customers for life as long as they keep up the good work. Big rooms, bathrooms and all beyond clean. I only gave this location 4 bones because there was carpet in this pet room. Other than that it was perfect and comfortable.

Nice older hotel

Y O Ranch Hotel

Older but stately. Great tile floors. Easy to walk the pups out of the room's back door.

Bad Stay

Red Roof Inn Philadelphia - Trevose

Have ALWAYS used Days Inn with our pups. Won't be staying with them anymore as I found a hotel chain on this trip that was so clean. This is the first time I have been treated rudely by the front desk at any hotel. I am not able to climb stairs, and I told them so when making a reservation. When we arrived they told my husband "sorry but first come first serve". We were there 3 nights so the stairs were a problem for me. My husband had to unload the vehicle and pack it back up by himself going up and down the stairs. That was too much to ask of us but we had no choice. They could not find our reservation, which with technology I don't understand. But with our confirmation number they were able to find it. I had a receipt where I had paid for the room. They insisted our room was not paid for. We refused to pay. They eventually were able to find where we had indeed paid for the room.

The evening of check-in a man knocked on our door at 12:15 a.m, which startled us and caused the dogs to bark! My husband tried to talk with him through the window but couldn't understand him. He was from the front desk but wasn't wearing anything that would identify him as an employee. He needed to let us know that they had found a second room key for us. Yes, at 12:30 in the morning. The morning after check-in we discovered a MOUSE in the room with us. I get it, it had turned very cold and I guess the mouse had to find shelter somewhere. The front desk had been so rude upon check-in, and again that morning when I needed to let them know not to clean our room, so I didn't even bother complaining when we discovered the mouse. I did sign and date a note to them about the mouse when we checked out (for the next occupants of the room).

We kept all of our belongings closed up tight to keep the mouse out of our things. We were just too tired from having to use stairs that we didn't want to go to the trouble of trading rooms when we knew the mouse was probably traveling through the walls. The room was not updated - dirty walls, dirty corners, torn carpet. Did not feel clean, even before we found the mouse. There are quite a few people living at this hotel full time. Some of them would hang outside of their hotel room at night in groups to smoke. I won't go into detail about the road construction going on around the hotel the 3 NIGHTS we stayed there since RRI has no control over that. It was not a pleasant experience overall.

Inside not as pretty as outside

Studio 6-Duluth GA - Atlanta - Gwinnett Place

The room was dirty and the fixtures were stained. There was carpet on the floor of our pet friendly room, which I don't understand and hate. Our dogs were intent on sniffing the carpet in one particular spot. That is why they shouldn't have carpet. Our room included a kitchen, which was handy. But we could see swipe marks on the appliances and it just didn't feel clean enough. Cleanliness of a hotel room is everything to us.

Not a Fan.

Motel 6 Albuquerque NM - Coors Road

Cons: There was a tolerable smell in the room, but hated thinking what it could be. Sprayed the room down with lysol. There were hairs in the bathtub and that makes me feel the room is not clean right off the bat. The black-out curtains did not keep out the lights from outside. I think they were too small.. Our room was lit up all night even with the curtains drawn. The people above us ran up and down in their room all hours of the night, as well as people walked around outside all night talking. Our pups kept jumping up and barking. There were people all over nearby, sitting around and loitering. My husband would not allow me to go out to walk the dogs. Pros: There is a Buffalo Wild Wings right next door that made for a nice dinner. The floor was not carpeted, which I think should be protocol for all hotel rooms, especially dog friendly. The bed was comfortable.

Great!!

La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Wichita Falls Event Center North

This was one of the cleanest pet friendly places we've ever stayed. Bed was comfortable, and I slept like a rock after a full day of driving with our 2 fur babies. Nice grassy area to walk the babies, and a convenience store was just steps away next door, The only thing I didn't like was the carpet on the floor. I like the wood look floors for pet friendly hotel rooms. I can only imagine what might be in the carpet. But the room was so clean that I was okay with it. I definitely would stay here again!!
