Better options in area
Quality Inn Near Walden Galleria MallAdequate. Dog did fine. Room okay. Breakfast was so-so.
Worked Out Well
Best Western Plus Eagle Vail ValleySpacious room (if could use better lighting), perfectly functional, including a table for in-room eating. Grassy areas for the dog. Public spaces quite attractive, reasonable breakfast better than most.
Great value
La Quinta by Wyndham St. GeorgeRelatively new, bright and modern, spacious in both public spaces and rooms. Unusually wide-ranging breakfast comes with the room. Easy to reach and well-tended grassy areas for taking the dog.
Truly a comfort
Comfort Inn & Suites Beaver - Interstate 15 NorthComfortable and clean room. Worked very well for our dog. And a full breakfast as well.
Inexpensive
Motel 6 Beaver UTInexpensive, and the experience fits the price. Room was okay. Motel is right off the highway. The building is rundown, there isn't any real dog-friendly space outside, the staff is not particularly hospitable. If your room is on the second floor, there is no elevator, so everything has be carried up stairs. It's a place for you and your dog to lie down and sleep.
Fits the Bill
Fairfield Inn & Suites Amarillo AirportVery easy access of of I-40. Nice lobby area, quiet, good if somewhat tight fit room, spacious bathroom sink area, good shower, clean, and a reasonable breakfast (more limited than some, and ran out of things when my wife went down). Dog did fine, and even has some real grass around the building (but sprinklers came on when took our dog our in the morning). Area in general is rather Spartan.
One of the best
La Quinta by Wyndham JoplinExcellent room, charming courtyard, heated swimming pool, extensive breakfast (wide range of hot and cold options), and an attached restaurant and bar with comprehensive menu, including very good pizza. Overall, a most welcome and relaxing place for both dogs and their owners.
Okay Place for the Night
Days Inn by Wyndham HolbrookRoom was fine and worked well for the dog and us. It was somewhat noisy in that one can readily hear people walking around in the room above. Breakfast was pretty limited--waffles were the only hot offering, and not much range of other choices. Really had to get breakfast elsewhere. Overall, it was a place to sleep.
The Price was "Right"
Red Roof Inn Cleveland MedinaThis motel was definitely inexpensive (the least pricey place we stayed) and permitted dogs, but of the places we have stayed with our golden retriever the room felt the least clean, and my wife--who has traveled the world far from luxury--didn't feel safe. Also, many smokers outside.
Great for people and dogs
Harwood Hill MotelUnusually charming while also completely dog friendly. Beautiful location with large field, good for ball or Frisbee throwing for the dog.
