Incidental charges
Candlewood Suites Columbia East an IHG HotelThe room was clean, but after we paid for the room the next day two charges (incidentals) were made to my credit card which I did not authorize. The first charge was for $10 dollars, which I was told would drop off of the card; the second was for $15 dollars which I now must call the hotel and find out what this is about. No complimentary breakfast is provided, but they will sell you food items from their pantry? I probably won't stay here again.

Decent location
Kelly Inn & Suites Mitchell South DakotaThe hotel was clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly enough. The room needed some repairs in the bathroom - floor tiles were cracked and pulling away from the floor.

Nasty!
Ramada by Wyndham ColumbiaThe room was not properly cleaned or sanitized; I found a used coffee pouch in the coffee pot which of course had not been cleaned. There was mold growing around the top of the toilet tank just below the lid. Toilet paper roll holder was crusty and rusty. I will be cancelling this hotel res on the way home!!!

Low rent district
Motel 6 Mitchell SDThe Manager was delightful. Room was mostly clean, but the furniture seems to have been there since the 1970s. Bathtub had a patch in the bottom of it and it was pretty nasty with dark brown fibers around the edges. I had a reservation for the return trip at this locale, that will be changed.

Nice enough
Kelly Inn BillingsRoom was large and clean. Hostess's were pleasant and positive. Third floor area around the elevator smelled strongly of paint, maybe freshly painted, maybe not. Pet area was rather nasty as many people don't seem to clean up after their pets. Neither do the maintenance crew apparently.
