Theater of the Sea Bring Fido for a day of fun with your favorite aquatic friends! Theater of the Sea in Islamorada, FL, offers a variety of animal interaction programs for various ages and prices. Programs are available daily and include admission to the dolphin, sea lion and parrot shows, guided marine life tour, lagoon-side beach, and bottomless boat ride. Well-behaved dogs are welcome inside the park as long as they are cleaned up after. Please note that dogs are not allowed in the Bird Show tent. See Details
Pet Friendly Fountain of Youth Archaeological Park
Fountain of Youth Archaeological Park Visit the site where St. Augustine began in 1565 with your pooch at the Fountain of Youth Archaeological Park. With more than 15 dog-friendly waterfront acres to explore, you and your pup will find plenty of activities to enjoy. You can visit the planetarium, visit the Timucua Indian village, look out from the 600-foot observation deck, and make friends with the peacocks that roam the property. Dinosaur World Dinosaur World in Plant City, FL, is a dog-friendly attraction featuring over 150 life size dinosaurs in an outdoor museum. Allow Fido to join the family fun as you navigate your way along the dinosaur walk, cross into Deinonychus Island to see the raptors, enter the Skeleton Garden, or venture down Carnivore Boardwalk if you dare! Dogs are permitted throughout the park with the exception of the museum building with animatronics. Children can partake in a fossil dig and sift through sand in search of fossils to take home. Tarkiln Bayou Preserve State Park Dogs are welcome at Tarkiln Bayou Preserve State Park in Pensacola, FL. The park stretches 4,000 acres and is home to a number of rare and endangered plants. You can bring Fido with you to enjoy the Tarkiln Bayou Trail, meandering through prairie, cypress and titi forests, and leading to a scenic view of the Bayou; and the Perdido Bay Trail, a more difficult 6.5-mile trail that leads to beaches and weaves through oaks and pines. Along the dog-friendly trails, you might be able to sneak a peek of some migratory birds, white tailed deer, raccoon or bobcat. There are numerous benches and picnic tables around the park and along the trails to enjoy a spot of lunch with Spot the dog. There is a vehicle and pedestrian fee to enter the park. See Details
San Sebastian Winery San Sebastian Winery in St. Augustine, FL, allows small dogs to join their owners while they taste a variety of wines. Founded in 1996, this winery is in one of Henry Flagler’s old East Coast Railway buildings located just a few blocks from historic downtown. They offer American wine that dates back to 1562. Kissimmee Prairie Preserve State Park Kissimmee Prairie Preserve State Park in Okeechobee, FL, is a dog-friendly, natural prairie habitat that's home to lots of wildlife. Fido needs to be careful and on a leash under six feet. Your pooch can join you on a number of trails in the multi-use trail system that are lined with an array of different wildflower varieties. Fido is not, however, permitted on the Hammock Trail. There is a fee per vehicle to enter the park. See Details
Mead Botanical Garden Mead Botanical Garden is a dog-friendly attraction in Winter Park, FL. Bring your leashed pooch along to this vast, tranquil green space that boasts an array of flowering gardens, wildlife habitats and pavilions to enjoy. Dogs are allowed in marked areas as long as they leashed and owners clean up after them. When visiting the garden, please be mindful. Take only photographs, leave only footprints. See Details
Bok Tower Gardens Bok Tower Gardens is a popular, dog-friendly National Historic Landmark in Lake Wales, and has been voted Florida's Best Garden. All dogs must remain on a leash during their visit and will not be permitted inside Hammock Hollow, Pinewood Estate, the Blue Palmetto Cafe or the Shop at Bok. Dogs can enjoy the gardens for a $5 per animal per day fee. Family Memberships and above include free admission for pups. All dogs must be dog, adult and child friendly. If you're planning on bringing Fido, make sure he is leashed on a 6ft leash and picked up after. Dogs must remain on paths and lawns only. Do not allow your dog to dig, enter ponds or engage in excessive barking. See Details
Pinecrest Gardens Leashed dogs are welcome to visit Pinecrest Gardens every Saturday and Sunday. Pinecrest Gardens, South Florida's Cultural Arts Park, is home to over one thousand varieties of exotic tropical plants and palm trees. Natural streams, caves, and fissures are all present in the Gardens as well. Dog owners can check Pinecrest Gardens' website for information on dog-friendly events held throughout the year. Old Coast Ales Dogs are welcome at Old Coast Ales in the picturesque town of Saint Augustine, FL. Located approximately halfway between the Bridge of Lions and the St. Augustine Lighthouse, this dog-friendly brewery and taproom has a seven barrel brewing system, providing their customers with a range of IPAs, pales, reds, brown ales, and porters. Located at Eglin Air Force Base in Florida, this pet-friendly attraction is the only museum in the world dedicated to the collection, preservation and exhibition of artifacts and memorabilia associated with Air Force Armament. With a focus on pet-friendly boating trips for families, they also offer additional tubes and knee-boards for rent. They offer a number of different tours, including a number of guided sightseeing adventures. One of the most popular tours is a private excursion with a marine biologist, available on weekends. Falling Waters State Park Falling Waters State Park is home to Florida's largest waterfall. When you arrive at this pet-friendly attraction, you and Fido can walk on Sink Hole Trail to get to the crashing waters of the stunning waterfall. Additionally, there are three short nature trails that take in the differing scenery in the park. O'Leno State Park Dogs are allowed to join their owners at O'Leno State Park. You and Fido can enjoy the park’s picnic area that overlooks the Santa Fe River or hike one of the diverse hiking trails, including the River Trail, the Limestone Trail, and Parener’s Branch. The varied scenery switches between hardwood hammock, limestone outcrop, and pine forest. Unfortunately, pets are not allowed in the youth areas, primitive campsite, group camp, swimming area, or buildings. Keel & Curley Winery Keel & Curley Winery is dog-friendly! Dogs are welcome on the covered outdoor deck at Keel & Curley Winery for wine tastings. Keel & Curley Winery has been open since 2003 and produces three types of wine (sweet, semi-dry, and dry) made from 100% blueberries. The winery also produces seven fusion wines made with grape and fruit juices like Strawberry Riesling, Tangerine Tango Zinfandel, and Peach Chardonnay. Oldest Wooden School House The Oldest Wooden School House Historic Museum and Gardens is the oldest wood frame building in St. Augustine. The property was used as a school for the neighborhood children in the early 1800's, and a guardhouse for soldiers during the Seminole War. Today you may tour the School House to hear about its history and see what school was like in the 1800's. Leashed dogs are also welcome to enjoy the beautiful garden. See Details
