Pet Friendly Dinosaur World
Dinosaur World Visit over 150 life size dinosaurs in an outdoor museum. Since there's over a mile of outdoor walkways along the dinosaur walk, there's plenty of room for the family dog! Other exhibits include a Fossil dig where children can sift thru sand in search of fossils to take home. Unearth a life size dinosaur skeleton in the Boneyard. Learn in the indoor Prehistoric Museum (also pet friendly). Enter Carnivore Boardwalk if you dare. Cross into Deinonychus Island to see the raptors. Walk thru the Skeleton Garden. Pet Friendly Naples Botanical Garden
Naples Botanical Garden Naples Botanical Garden is a 170-acre world-class garden paradise that features the plants and cultures of the tropics and subtropics between the latitudes of 26 degrees North and 26 degrees South including Brazil, the Caribbean, Southeast Asia and Florida. A hands-on interactive Children’s Garden, along with 90 acres of beautifully restored natural habitats, walking trails and a Butterfly Garden offer educational entertainment and enjoyment for people of all ages. Well-behaved, leashed dogs are welcome in the Garden on the following days: Sundays 9-11:30am, Tuesdays 8-11am, and Thursdays 3-5pm. Garden Members (and their dogs on designated days) can visit for no additional cost. The Garden also hosts an annual public event, Dog Day in the Garden, geared toward “man’s best friend” and their owners featuring pet-friendly vendors, canine-focused demonstrations, a dog fashion show, and enough treat stations to keep tails wagging throughout the day. Fountain of Youth Archaeological Park Visit the site where St. Augustine began in 1565 with your pooch at the Fountain of Youth Archaeological Park. With more than 15 waterfront acres to explore, you and your pup will find plenty of activities to enjoy. You can visit the planetarium, visit the Timucua Indian village, look out from the 600-foot observation deck, and make friends with the peacocks that roam the property. Dog Dock Jumping Pool Dog Dock Jumping Pool is a great place for your pooch to learn to dock dive. They offer lessons for pups of all levels, including those with no experience at all. Camp Helen State Park Camp Helen State Park is dog-friendly! Well-behaved dogs are allowed at Camp Helen State Park, but they must be kept on a leash no longer than 6 feet when outside your vehicle. Pet owners are required to pick up after their pets and properly dispose of their droppings. Pets are not permitted on the beaches or playgrounds, or in bathing areas, cabins, park buildings or concession facilities. Camp Helen is bordered by the Gulf of Mexico on three sides, and by Lake Powell, one of the largest coastal dune lakes in Florida. Prehistoric middens and mounds indicate that humans inhabited the area more than 4,000 years ago. From 1945 until 1987 Camp Helen was a company resort for the employees of an Alabama textile mill. Some of those buildings have now been restored. The 180-acre park is for day use only. Activities include swimming, beachcombing, nature study, hiking and both freshwater and saltwater fishing.
