New Pet-Friendly Hotels: September 2021

Every month, more and more hotels are opening their doors to four-legged guests. Whether newly constructed or newly pet-friendly, here are six hotels that are welcoming furry friends for the first time in September.

Four-legged Hoosiers will find modern comforts blended with classical decor in a relaxed Midwestern setting at Hotel Carmichael Autograph Collection. Located in the heart of downtown Carmel, this boutique hotel features luxurious rooms with ornate furnishings, cozy sitting areas, complimentary high-speed internet and spa-inspired bathrooms. Guests can enjoy quiet read in the on-site library, utilize the 24/7 fitness center, and dine at a trio of elegant eateries offering traditional French and American cuisine.

Pups are welcome to frolic off leash and make new friends at the nearby Dog Park at Clay Terrace, a fully fenced recreation area complete with agility equipment.

Aloft Lubbock

As the newest hotel in Lubbock, Aloft Lubbock brings the same vibrant style and laid-back atmosphere that have made the brand a favorite among those traveling with pets. Bright, contemporary rooms with an artistic flair feature plush platform beds, hardwood floors and walk-in showers with rainfall shower heads. The on-site Re:mix Lounge offers guests a comfy place to chill, shoot a game of pool and listen to live music performed by local musicians. Other convenient property amenities include the WXYZ Bar, a state-of-the-art gym and an indoor splash pool.

Fido can put his sea paws to the test on a water adventure at SUP Lubbock. Pups are permitted on paddle boards.

Aloft Lubbock welcomes two pets up to 25 lbs for an additional fee of $75 per night.

Nestled near mountains, lakes and West Virginia University, The Cranberry, Ascend Hotel Collection is the ideal place for traveling pups to hang their hats while seeking adventure in and around Morgantown. Spacious rooms with high ceilings come equipped with sofa daybeds, mini refrigerators and microwaves, and work desks with ergonomic chairs. Grab a drink or snack from the on-site cafe and bar, or take advantage of complimentary amenities such as WiFi access, the hot breakfast buffet and fitness center.

Treat yourself to hearty sandwiches and cold craft beer at Mountain State Brewing Co. Both the upper deck and lower patio are dog friendly, but call ahead to ensure seating is available.

La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Kanab

Furry movie buffs looking for a basecamp to discover the rich film history of “Little Hollywood” will feel right at home at La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Kanab. Relax in cozy rooms outfitted with complimentary high-speed internet, work desks, and mini refrigerators and microwaves. Feast on a free breakfast each morning and stock up on sundries and snacks at the lobby market. Get the heart pumping in the on-site fitness center before cooling off in the outdoor swimming pool.

La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Kanab welcomes pets of any size for an additional fee of $20 per night (not to exceed $40 per stay).

Staybridge Suites Nashville Franklin

Located 15 miles south of Music City in the historic town of Franklin, Staybridge Suites Nashville Franklin provides top-notch pet-friendly accommodations in a convenient location. Spacious suites designed for long-term stays include separate living areas with sleeper sofas, full-sized kitchens with stoves and dishwashers, and work desks with lamps. A complimentary hot breakfast is served daily, and guests can take full advantage of the on-site fitness center, heated indoor pool, laundry facilities and courtyard fire pit.

Visit nearby Harlinsdale Farm to learn about the Tennessee Walking Horse Industry. Leashed pups can roam 200 acres of rolling farmland and play off leash in the on-site dog park.

Staybridge Suites Nashville Franklin accepts pets up to 80 lbs for an additional fee of $75 (for stays of 1 to 6 nights) and $150 (for longer stays).

Pups will be treated to a heavy dose of Southern hospitality and small-town charm when visiting Home2 Suites by Hilton Fort Mill. Studio suites provide guests all the necessities no matter the length of stay, including seating areas with sleeper sofas and kitchens with refrigerators, microwaves and dishwashers. Breakfast, WiFi access and parking are all available free of charge. Take a soothing soak in the indoor saline pool, then gather around the fire pit on the outdoor patio.

Fido can sniff an array of colorful wildflowers along the 36 miles of scenic hiking trails at Anne Springs Close Greenway. Dogs must be leashed and picked up after.

Home2 Suites By Hilton Fort Mill welcomes pets up to 30 lbs for an additional fee of $50 per pet, per stay.
