- CaroleeJun 11, 2024Best Country Inn & Suites Ever!
Would stay here again in a heartbeat! Very dog friendly!
- TimJun 7, 2024Great room
Enjoyed our overnight stay. Friendly staff.
- SandraJun 4, 2024Great Stay!
Room was nice with a comfortable bed. Had blackout curtains but there was a bright light right outside of our window that even the curtains couldn’t block, but the staff was very friendly and breakfast was great! Wonderful dog walking area.
- JeanMay 29, 2024Nice stay
Good spot. My dogs seemed to really enjoy themselves.
- TeresaMay 25, 2024Very clean rooms
Grass patch with bags for dogs was nice. Rooms were clean.
- CherylMay 16, 2024Slightly busy area
Pet area was a little small but well maintained. Check-in was smooth overall. I would stay here again.
- JeanApr 23, 2024Very dog and human friendly
Lots of real grass spaces and a poop bag station. Rooms are spacious and carpeted, but very clean. I requested a ground floor room and it was great. Very friendly front desk, and a good breakfast.
- CharlesApr 23, 2024Met our expectations
We were assigned a first floor room near the end of the hallway. Lots of dog lovers staying at this location. Absolutely no downside or negatives, would stay here again. At the same time, nothing exceptional that would elevate review to 5 bones.
- NancyApr 22, 2024Average hotel
Nice room, clean, no smell, laundry facilities. Breakfast marginal.
- JohnApr 15, 2024Woofing in Texas
Great location, dog friendly.
- TeriApr 6, 2024Clean room
We had a nice stay with our two dogs. We were are on bottom floor which makes it easier with dogs. Staff not overly friendly, but not rude either. Breakfast was decent.
- KrisApr 6, 2024Lots of Grass
Clean, good-sized room and lots of grass all around the hotel. Was concerned that nearby highway would be a problem, but it was fine.
- ClaudiaApr 3, 2024Great price
Easy to get to from Interstate. Clean, nicely decorated, and good breakfast.
- BradyMar 17, 2024Great location
Very dog-friendly hotel.
- CarolMar 16, 2024Nice hotel
There wasn't a bad experience.
- MarkMar 15, 2024Nice place!
Reasonable, yet annoying pet fee. I feel like well trained dogs that leave no trace have to pay for the bad ones. Charging for pee stains/damage is probably hard for the hotel, so I understand. Dog run in back.
- SimoneMar 13, 2024One night stay
Great hotel with clean rooms.
- SandraMar 13, 2024Will Stay Here Again
This hotel had what I look for: clean, pet friendly, green space for dog (with poop bags and garbage cans), close to restaurants, pool, and breakfast. I gave it 4 bones because the decor is dated, BUT otherwise it is clean and that was wonderful! Staff was friendly. Lots a restaurant choices if you drive about a half mile down Soncy Road.
- MarkMar 7, 2024Treated Nicklaus like a king!
Had treats and water for him.
- NancyMar 2, 2024Very nice hotel
They also completely filled the hotel with fire evacuees while I was there. Everyone and their dogs were welcomed. Nice place.
- DanaFeb 24, 2024Walk to Restaurants
The last thing I want to do after traveling all day is get back in the car and drive to a restaurant. We walked to Red Robin. There are several others nearby. Everyone does takeout these days.
- GaryFeb 15, 2024Dog friendly
The motel room (handicapped) was great. The areas to walk dogs were small, but it was fine. They had waste bags and disposal to pickup after your per.
- JohnFeb 2, 2024Nice clean room
We had a clean, comfortable room for 4 adults and a pooch on the way to Arizona. Enjoyed it so much we stayed there again on the way back. I'm disappointed that some dog owners don't clean up like I do. They're gonna blow it for everybody.
- PegJan 26, 2024Good Deal
Nice clean place to stay. Has Small grass area for pets. Very friendly staff. Didn’t hear any road noise from I-40.
- LynneJan 23, 2024Nice place
Convenient ground floor room. Decent breakfast.
- ElaineJan 23, 2024Spike approved
Easy access to I-40 but no traffic noise. Nice grassy area for pups and easy walk around property. We both loved the bedding and enjoyed the fluffy pillows. Plus a hot breakfast and coffee anytime. Felt safe.
- BruceJan 10, 2024Overnight Stay
Quick overnight stop. Checked in late and left after breakfast. Room was quiet and breakfast was decent.
- KathyJan 2, 2024Just fair
Overall, it was a fair experience. The woman at the desk barely greeted us and treated us as an imposition. The rooms were not very clean (carpet, chairs, and the wall by one of the beds was dirty, as were all baseboards and moldings). The room smelled musty and was by vending and elevators. The workout room shared a wall with our room, and the pool was at the end of our side of the hall. Our dog is reactive, and this was not an ideal location (room 112). We were sent an email by someone from the front desk would address our concerns shortly. Two hours later, there was still no response. Breakfast was good. The shower insert looked new and was the best thing about our stay.
- PaulDec 16, 2023Great location and dog friendly
Really clean and cute hotel. Right off the I-40. Nice staff (they have us dog treats when we arrived) and free breakfast. We’ll stop here again!
- ChrisDec 14, 2023Good Dog Friendly Hotel
Right off highway, clean, breakfast ok, bags to pick up waste - room near laundry room and hotel lobby - so dogs were constantly alert due to activity in the hallway. Would stay here again.
- AlexandraDec 12, 2023Great location!
Staff very friendly and helpful. Great with four legged family member. Very close stores and amenities. Room very comfortable and clean.
- KateDec 7, 2023Good location, spotlessly clean, not luxurious.
Comfortable, clean, and friendly but they skimp on the quality and quantity of things like towels, pillows, soap, cups, etc., allotting exactly one per person. Everything is perfectly adequate but you won't feel pampered. Location is great. The Mexican place across the road (The Plaza) is really good.
- PatriciaDec 4, 2023Perfect stay!
Breakfast was awesome! Room was very clean! Pet friendly room and it had no smells! Easy to get in and out from I-40! Will most definitely be staying here again!
- CarlaDec 2, 2023Great place to stay!
Great location, good breakfast, really nice hotel, and highly recommend.
- ElizabethNov 29, 2023Very nice hotel
Staff was very nice snd courteous. Room was immaculate. Very large bathroom. This was one of the nicest dog friendly hotels we have stayed at. Plenty of grassy area to take dog outside to release themselves. Very clean
- KendreaNov 13, 2023Nice stay
Great pet friendly place!
- GlennNov 12, 2023Nice stopover
Comfortable room for 4 pets going cross country.
- DebbeNov 11, 2023Very nice room
Room was big and clean. Nice breakfast. Would definitely stay again!
- ElissaNov 3, 2023Great stay!
The area and hotel was great. This hotel was meant and perfect for my dog but you can tell the damage that previous dogs did to the hotel.
- SusanOct 30, 2023Great location
Easy access off US 40. Nice western hotel with nicely furnished rooms and lobby. Space to walk the dog all around the building.
- TinaOct 19, 2023Good stop!
We were here one night, found our stay to be pleasant, clean, and with good grass for Zoe. We’ve stayed at the Drury before and find the country inn as good if not better - price is better, locale equal - just no dinner/drinks. We will return as we go thru Amarillo en route to Dallas with some frequency.
- JackOct 15, 2023Nice Hotel
Nice room, quiet AC, courteous staff. Arrived with big dog and cat. Plenty of other pet owners staying that night as well so that basically tells all.
- JoyceOct 12, 2023Great Location
We were passing through Amarillo and stopped for the night. It's a great location with close, easy access to I-40. They are very pet welcoming and had plenty of grassy areas for my pup to take advantage of. I appreciated the two well stocked dog waste stations.
- TinaOct 5, 2023Great stay
The property is great with animals and they don't care what size the animals are.
- LanaSep 16, 2023Great location
Close to food and hospital.
- JessicaSep 13, 2023Old Hotel Charm
Great hotel in Amarillo located close to the Cadillac Ranch. Cozy older hotel with plenty of room to stretch. Lots of grass on the grounds for the pets to walk around with waste stations available.
- MikeSep 10, 2023Was dog friendly
Our stay was fine, no issues having our 2 dogs with us which is great! I only gave 3 bones because the property is just ok. Room was pretty “worn.” Property had some grass for dogs to use, but wasn’t maintained and poop bag dispenser was empty. Overall was good for having dogs.
- WilliamAug 31, 2023Nice Room!
Enjoyed our Stay! Dogs were happy and comfortable.
- SuzanneAug 31, 2023Great staff
We checked in late at night after a long day of driving. The front desk night clerk was extremely friendly & welcoming. The hotel was very clean & comfortable for humans and my dog & breakfast was great! Would highly recommend.
- TomAug 30, 2023First Fido Stay
Good hotel for our pet. Comfortable room and lots of grass.
- CatherineAug 27, 2023Great for dogs and people
Spacious room, friendly staff, clean and well-maintained. Quiet building with grass areas for walking. Close to I-40 and restaurants nearby.
- MarikaAug 21, 2023Worked well for us!
Traveling with two big dogs and this place treated us great! Rooms we spacious, good potty area around and breakfast was great! We would definitely recommend.
- ElizabethAug 20, 2023Loved this place!
This hotel is older but so nicely kept. Very clean room and the front desk folks were super sweet. Thanks for a great stay.
- TracyAug 14, 2023Good location but kinda tired
Could use a refresh inside. Handy location though.
- MariannaAug 8, 2023Snarky staff
Upon check-in, I requested a room on a higher floor and was informed that the hotel was fully booked, which is fine. At the end of check-in, I thanked the front desk worker, and she just stared at me without saying anything. After setting up my room, I went back to the front desk and asked the other worker if there was free breakfast. She said "yes" and nothing else, leading me to need to ask her what the hours were. She snottily read them off of a sign that I hadn't noticed because I was coming in from driving 10 hours and hadn't been to this hotel before.
The front desk worker in the morning was polite, however. The room was clean and smelled fine. There was a lot of area to walk the puppies and poop bags, so that was convenient. The breakfast had lots of options. However, the flavored coffee creamers hadn't been stored properly and had either completely evaporated (nothing in the closed container) or separated into oil and solid. I informed the breakfast attendant, and either she didn't understand me, already knew and couldn't do anything about it, or something else. I came back for another cup of coffee and the nasty creamers were still out. The cleaning staff were nice. The hotel itself was fine, but the staff were snarky, so I probably won't stay here again.
- CherylAug 7, 2023Good location
The front desk and staff were nice. The room had dirty carpet and and furniture. There were some broken tiles on bathroom floor.
- MariusAug 5, 2023Dogs treated like family
A very nice place to stay, the room was very clean and quiet. The breakfast was great.
- HaleyAug 5, 2023Do not recommend
Beautiful outside with large pet areas but room smelled of urine. Called the front desk to ask for some Febreze just to take care of the smell temporarily but that didn’t even work. Rooms are extremely outdated with very dim lighting and is full of carpet; hence the urine smell. No protective mattress cover and stains on sheets. Just felt very unsanitary.
- LisaJul 30, 2023Great Stay
We had a great stay here. Very dog friendly with grass strips large enough for our fur babies. Room was clean and comfy. This will definitely be our place to stay in Amarillo!
- HelenaJul 23, 2023Great location
Would definitely stay there again.
- RobynJul 19, 2023Pawfect stay
Hotel was very dog friendly with excellent grounds for pets to explore.
- KevinJul 19, 2023Keep Looking
They put a $50 hold on your cc for what they call “incidentals” (trust me, there are no “incidentals” at this location) and then take a $23 pet fee out of it. I questioned the associate to confirm the $20 pet fee when she said I’d receive “around $30” back after my stay. If the fee is $23, just say so—hate being nickel and dimed for my dog, especially when the accommodations are pretty subpar.
- JJul 18, 2023Decent
Decent place, clean enough. We ended up with a two room suite which was fun. The bed was comfortable. Decent continental breakfast.
- GeorgeJul 14, 2023Room for the night
Our room was very clean and comfortable. Only problem was very noisy air conditioner.
- AndrewJul 8, 2023Just so convenient
Super dog friendly and an awesome location if you’re road tripping between TX, CO or NM. Outdoor grass areas are plentiful and our boys had everything they needed. Also, great value for money.
- StacyJul 5, 2023Great location
The hotel was nice, clean, and very dog friendly.
- MariahJul 3, 2023Satisfactory for one night
As is often the case in pet-friendly rooms, there was carpeting, and thus a strong urine smell. Room was pretty basic but clean enough aside from the odor. Fine for a quick one-night stay.
- MargaretJun 30, 2023Great!
The hotel was a great experience with pets and children while needing a spot to stay overnight. We stayed on the first floor with our pets and it was convenient to use the side access door to let the dogs potty and have access to parking. Our stay also included breakfast which was awesome. The room was clean for being pet friendly and it was not noisy.
- PatriciaJun 28, 2023Highly recommend
Clean, quiet, friendly. Good breakfast with coffee and cookies set out for us!
Pups liked it as well. - RJun 17, 2023Great for traveling with your pup
Very dog friendly hotel with multiple grass areas. Nice lobby with coffee and lemon water available. Breakfast had a good selection. Easy interstate access. We stayed going east and again on our way home out west.
- KennethJun 16, 2023Great place
Quiet and easy to get to.
- MaryJun 15, 2023Great Place
Nice clean large room! Slept great! Plenty of grass for walking the dog.
- ReginaMay 25, 2023Nice hotel
Room was nice.
- SueMay 21, 2023Good location
Clean room. Grass for pet.
- NancyMay 16, 2023Great spot
Well lit, lots of grass areas and poo pickup bags provided. Hotel is fairly new and clean. Could use a little more sound proofing against the humans who let doors slam and talk loudly in the hallways.
- BelindaMay 12, 2023Would stay here again
I only stayed one night but overall I thought the accommodations were nice. I am dinging them one point for the horrible breakfast selection and the shampoo/conditioner/bath gel products. There ere several small grassy areas to relieve your dog and the parking lot was large enough to get in some exercise. It would have been better if there were no carpets. Poop bags were provided. Several nice restaurants you could walk to (less than a quarter mile distance).
- StevenMay 9, 2023Nice stay
Very nice, comfortable room. Unfortunately, the dog walk area was very small, but if you are willing to walk a little, there is open space nearby. Front desk staff was not overly friendly - not grumpy or rude, just not too friendly.
- KathyMay 8, 2023Quiet location
Even though it's close to I-40, it was relatively quiet. The room was nice and we had a good breakfast. Our pup was very happy!
- StephenMay 4, 2023Very dog-friendly place
The staff was very welcoming and friendly with the dog (big shepherd). Room was clean and comfortable. The hotel is right off the highway, so it was easy to get to.
- WendyMay 2, 2023Great Hotel
Great hotel, nicely done, very clean. Nice dog relief area and a clear path around building to get in some steps too!
- SarahApr 25, 2023Great for the dog, poor room design for people
I booked a King Suite and the bathroom was so small you can't open the bathroom door without it hitting the toilet, so it was like one of those bathroom stalls where you have to stand awkwardly next to the toilet to close the door. Also makes it tough to just use the sink, take a shower, etc. Also the air conditioner was noisy and blows right on your feet in bed. For the dog it was great though, they have a small potty area and you can walk laps around the hotel with grass all along it so it's easy to get a little exercise and for them to relieve themselves. It's also located on the edge of the city and not as busy, so that was a plus as well.
- MarenApr 21, 2023Good hotel
This hotel was really good for us and our dogs. There is grass and walking areas all around it and they have pickup bags and stations. The room was comfortable and on the ground floor so it was easy for us to manage.
- DebraApr 15, 2023Comfortable stay
Comfortable stay, clean, good breakfast, quiet. All for a good price. We would stay again.
- CraigApr 9, 2023Good location!
We enjoyed our stay here! Good quiet location and good areas for dogs! We have stayed here twice within a 2 week period.
- PaulApr 5, 2023Nice Hotel
Room was spacious and clean. I highly recommend.
- DanaApr 5, 2023Highly Recommended
Clean room, cookies, minimal dog fee, good breakfast, great location, lots of nearby restaurants. I highly recommend.
- MargaretApr 5, 2023Very dog friendly
The hotel was very dog friendly. There are two grassy areas where you can walk the dogs but no fenced area. It was a little noisy but overall a great stay.
- SandyApr 4, 2023Great place to stay
Nice grassy area for dogs. Close to interstate with a nice room and breakfast.
- SamApr 2, 2023Great service
Thanks for the late notice and the wonderful accommodations!
- LindaMar 29, 2023Great Hotel and Great Location
Very clean room and very accommodating while traveling with our dog.
- MicheleMar 18, 2023Nice hotel!
Nice and clean. Pup liked the hard boiled egg I grabbed him for breakfast 😉
- RobertMar 17, 2023Great location
Room was great, they have a small area for pets, and a friendly staff.
- DebbieMar 14, 2023Great place
Nice place, clean, good location and amenities. The young woman working the reception desk on Sunday evening acted like any interruption from her cell phone time was a major imposition. We had a glitch with our rez, and she said “Ain’t nothing I can do. We always have problems with third party sites.” Even after being shown our reservation confirmation. Watching her interact with other customers, she was surly and just plain lazy.
- KaylinMar 7, 2023Great value
Great price, clean, bed was comfy, good breakfast. Would stay again.
- ShawnMar 5, 2023Great place
The best place we stayed on a 2 week road trip!
- LMar 3, 2023Horrible bed
Had a king size bed and sleeping on the floor would have been softer.
- TaliahMar 1, 2023Great night
Easy online reservation, very beautiful and clean room. Breakfast was good. Comfortable bed. Lots of walking area for my Labrador. I would stay again.
- PhillisFeb 26, 2023Clean rooms
Very nice hotel in a good area. Parking lot we’ll lit and grassy areas for dogs was nice with waste receptacles. This is a very busy place many people in and out all hours our younger pup wasn’t happy and was bothered by all the sounds of people walking around. This was his first hotel experience so it didn’t go well in a busier environment.
- BarbaraFeb 23, 2023Great place to stay
Loved this hotel. Clean, large rooms. Very friendly staff. Fantastic breakfast buffet. Would definitely return. Thank you Country Inn!
- CherylFeb 20, 2023Very clean and good value
Though this hotel is starting to look tired, it was clean and quiet. The free breakfast also had hot options which was nice. We would stop again if we travel in the area.
- DanaFeb 19, 2023Great stay
Country Inn was cozy with great "inn" charm. The rooms were spacious and clean. The indoor pool was fabulous! It was large with a waterfall and the hot tub was the size of a small pool. The beds were comfy. Staff was helpful and nice. We would definitely stay here again.
- JoeFeb 8, 2023Overnight in Amarillo
The location is really close to I-40 but not noisy. The grounds are nice and very well lighted so we felt safe. There’s not much close by that we were interested in for food so it was a 5 minute drive. Plenty of choices. The room is good but the bathroom was very small - had to stand next to the toilet to close the door and it just makes it past the toilet. Shower very nice. Check-in easy. All in all, I would go back.
- NicoletteFeb 6, 2023A little outdated but nice
Clean, smells fresh, fairly quiet and welcoming. No real complaints except maybe the comforter was a bit flimsy. But everything else was great, especially for the price. We really appreciated the parking lot with the drive-through spaces as we were pulling a trailer.
- PattyFeb 2, 2023Great Location
The rooms were clean and did not smell of dogs and the staff was super helpful. I felt safe walking my pup around the hotel property.
- DavidJan 17, 2023Good location
Clean, comfortable and the staff was friendly.
- JulieJan 17, 2023Always Comfortable
This is a great place to stay if you are visiting Palo Duro Canyon. Hotel is easily accessible and it's a fairly short, easy drive to the canyon. There's plenty of space to walk your dog while at the hotel with multiple waste disposal locations. Rooms are comfortable and quiet and my dog always sleeps well! There are many hotels in the area, but this one is always full of happy people and well-behaved pets.
- MichelleJan 2, 2023Wonderful!
Our stay was excellent!! Room was clean and comfortable.
- AshleyDec 28, 2022Great Place To Stay!
Been staying here on several separate occasions since 2016. Great place to stay and super dog friendly. Grass areas for the pups, clean rooms and a very well lit parking lot. Easy access on and off the I-40. Red Robin is literally down the road to grab a quick bite to eat on the dog-friendly patio.
- MariaDec 28, 2022Great place to stop
Super dog friendly. Had coffee and all the coffee fixins for me! Comfy bed too.
- AnnaDec 27, 2022Nice entrance
It's lovely on the outside. Room was ok. Not really anywhere to take your dog as it's on the side of the highway.
- MinervaDec 25, 2022Very welcoming
Great place to stop overnight during our cross country travel during crazy weather/arctic storm. I appreciated all the lighting in the parking lot and accommodations for my pup.
- LjDec 22, 2022Comfortable & welcoming
A great, comfortable spot; we stayed overnight on a long road trip. We ended up having to get a suite with a couch/sofa bed (regular pet friendly rooms were sold out) and it was plenty of space for our 70 lb dog to stretch out. Breakfast was decent!
- MelissaDec 14, 2022Good Location
The room itself was a little tired in need of some updating, but it was clean, and the rest of the hotel was nice.
- JoleanDec 11, 2022Very friendly and helpful staff
Very pleasant and professional even with our very late check in.
- ClydeDec 8, 2022Good location
TV didn’t work but maintenance deal with that very promptly
- LauraNov 22, 2022Good location off the 40
Lots of dogs, very dog friendly, decent gym.

Basically, I do not recommend this hotel. I will start with the good though which is a secure and well-lit parking lot. This is an excellent place to stay if you tow a trailer, Uhaul, or camper because the hotel offers secure parking for all kinds of rigs. The second plus is the pet-friendly designation here. After that though, things take a downhill slide. There was considerable physical damage in the bathroom of our room including water and plaster damage on the ceiling and loose bowed tiles on the floor. The hotel is extremely loud--doors slamming constantly. The most unhelpful feature of this hotel was the ambient light streaming in through the window. There were two sets of curtains that we drew closed of course, but they are not light-blocking curtains, and we prefer sleeping in the dark. The lobby coffee station is crammed behind a staircase and is very hard to get to and use, besides which the coffee is terrible. This hotel needs some renovation and repair.
- BrianNov 14, 2022Convenient, clean, quiet
Very easy access for dogs. Clean, quiet room.
- MichaelNov 9, 2022Very nice hotel
The room was very large and the we heard nothing through the walls. Nice place.
- DennisNov 8, 2022Satisfactory
This older hotel needs an upgrade. The carpet is probably original and badly needs to be replaced. In defense of the hotel as always you have pet owners who are irresponsible who won't pick up their pets poop. There was poop even in the parking lot. Amarillo has few hotels that takes big dogs. This hotel is good for one night only.
- SharonNov 3, 2022Loved it
We’ve been traveling for 6 days l and stayed at various hotels. This one was by far my favorite. It’s clean, cute, cozy and I slept the best I have this entire trip. Would definitely stay again.
- LauraOct 26, 2022Great location and rooms
The only issue was the fire alarm going off at 4:30 am. It was a false alarm.
- DeniseOct 26, 2022Easy to find
Everything was good.
- CamilleOct 20, 2022Quiet comfortable hotel
Lots of restaurants nearby, easy to find, secure gated parking lot, clean rooms.
- KaitOct 18, 2022block the bed
Our cats found a way under the bed after we thought we blocked it off so pet parents with cats and small dogs take care to check before letting them out and about. Hotel was cute and quaint and the coffee was pretty decent.
- CaroleOct 17, 2022Clean rooms!
The room was VERY CLEAN! My only problem was the king size bed needs a new mattress.
- GordonOct 13, 2022Country Inn and Suites Amarillo
Nice room, but wish there was a door on the closet to keep our dogs from getting into things. The breakfast buffet was better than most hotel offerings. Pet area was small, but convenient to access from our room.
- DarcyOct 5, 2022New Digs
We usually choose the Drury Inn when passing through Amarillo but it was $40 more plus A $40 pet fee. The Country Inn was literally across the street and was $60 cheaper. Our room was very clean and perfect with our dog along. The parking lot is better protected with a fence so seemed safer. We’d definitely stay here again.
- DebbieOct 5, 2022Great Experience
First time traveling with pets & was so impressed with the nice, clean place, friendly staff, and delicious breakfast.
- RueSep 30, 2022Good location
Nice room, light breakfast, clean. Good choice if in area.
- StefanieSep 25, 2022Great location
Easy access!
- KarenSep 16, 2022Quiet, clean
Great location, great service, very clean.
- MelSep 9, 2022Great location
We had a great stay. Staff was friendly and helpful. My only problem was with other dog owners who refuse to clean up their dogs poop. Disgusting. That’s why some hotels don’t allow pets.
- ShawnAug 25, 2022Pet Area Upgrade
We’ve stayed here previously, and it was nice, but this time was even better. They redid the pet lawns, and added an irrigation system. It keeps the area fresh and green. So much nicer than lots of places we’ve stayed. The staff was friendly and helpful. The only caveat—and it’s not pet related—is that there are no USB plugs in the room, so bring yours from home. We would stay here again when in the area.
- AnneJul 31, 2022Clean place
Refrigerator in room did not keep anything cold. Air ran all night but didn’t cool the room much.
- NoraJul 17, 2022Good Hotel for Dogs
No weight limit on dogs. No maximum number of dogs. Grassy area with waste bags for dogs provided, very nice.
- SibaneJul 5, 2022Nice Room
The room was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay. Guests with pets are offered 1st floor accommodations which is convenient for walking the dog.
- RobinJul 2, 2022Comfortable Stay
We were placed on the ground floor, which made it easier to get the dogs in and out quickly. Breakfast selections were good. I wished we'd had more time to take advantage of the pool and fitness center, but we were on a mission to get across country quickly.
- KayJun 26, 2022Rip off!
If this place wasn’t so expensive, I would have rated it a two out of five. I have seen worse but not at $230.00 per night. The carpet and furniture was ancient, the mattress was covered in stains, the sheets were stained, there was a huge crack above the bed from water damage, it had a funky smell and one of the doors wasn’t hung and was leaning against the wall. The only good thing I can say is the “free breakfast” was good.
- ErinJun 22, 2022Great location, clean room
Very easy to get on and off the interstate to this location. No designated dog area but they do have cleanup station outside. Staff was okay. Room was clean and near the elevator which made it easy for my dogs but also meant foot traffic noise. Overall I’d stay there again.
- NeloaJun 9, 2022Country Inn and Suites
The hotel was nice. It had some green area. Was told it was a $20 pet fee but they added some kind of tax because the bill hit my credit card as $23.
- CarolMay 30, 2022Nice stay
Quiet area, safe with lots of grassy areas to walk the dogs. Nice breakfast. Would stay here again.
- LisaMay 30, 2022Nice Location
It was nice, but could use some upgrades. Overall, it was very pleasant. The staff was friendly. Doggie stations on the grass areas for potty breaks.
- SheilaMay 16, 2022A restful night
Quiet, clean, very pleasant atmosphere.
- ElissaMay 8, 2022Disappointment
This hotel looks awesome on the outside, but the room was nasty. Starting with the big stain on the carpet
upon entry to the room. There was an underlying smell of urine in the room. Since there is a pet fee charged per pet it should be used towards the cleaning of a pet friendly room. The only good thing about this place was being on the first floor with a side door down the hall to take our 2 small dogs out. - PatriciaMay 8, 2022Agree with all the great reviews
Clean!
- KarenMay 8, 2022Country Suites Amarillo, TX
Very clean room!
- RonMay 5, 2022Everything Great
Very lovely hotel. Very nice and large pet walking area. Breakfast was simple but superb.
- ChrisApr 29, 2022Basic needs were met
Really looked forward to this stay for the chain's reputation for breakfast. Big disappointment. Everything else was fine.
- SusanApr 26, 2022Busy, dog friendly hotel
Room was fine, the hotel really is very dog friendly. Very busy location! The only downside was that the windows were not well sealed and there was constant wind whistling.
- GraceApr 22, 2022Clean
Clean rooms, lots of grass for dogs. Would stay again if passing thru.
- CorinneApr 18, 2022Charming
Great location for the I40 traveler. Very friendly staff. I appreciated that the decor was more charming than your typical hotel these days. Beautiful wooden staircase in the lobby really stands out for me. The dogs were welcomed and had a a small grassy area to use. We were towing an open trailer and found good parking for it and everything was just as we left it come morning. Took one bone off because one of our rooms had a funky smell. It was the non dog room. I would stay here again and recommend to family and friends.
- HansApr 11, 2022Clean, comfortable and great location
Rooms are very comfortable and clean. Large grassy area to take the pups for the evening business. Medipark with two nice ponds for a 1.5 mile walk is only a 5 minutes drive away.
- NancyApr 6, 2022Nice place
Comfy bed and pillows. Dogs did great.
- LeslieMar 2, 2022Best room we’ve had
Saw all the “5 bone” reviews and thought that can’t be right, but it was. Best room we’ve ever stayed in with our dog. Big room, super quiet and super clean. Plenty of room behind hotel to walk dog.
Breakfast was a little disappointing but we’re kinda just coffee people anyway. - JosiahFeb 27, 2022Lovely stay
The room was big and nice! It was very loud though with the hallway. Fortunately, the room we were in had a door to the bedroom area as well, so I was able to close that, and with some white noise, my pup couldn't hear the hallway noise as well, which was better for sleeping! A lovely stay though with plenty of places to walk your pup!
- RuthFeb 21, 2022Great hotel and staff
Hotel was very accommodating to pets and local pet friendly restaurant advice.
- MichelleFeb 18, 2022Nice hotel!
I’m moving across country and so far this is the best place we’ve stayed at! Nice hotel. Friendly staff. Comfy suite! Delicious dinner from Chuey’s, a restaurant nearby.
- CherylJan 28, 2022Nice Place
Stopped for an overnight stay with our German Shepherd Lola. We were pleasantly surprised by this budget motel: very clean, nice sized room, comfortable bed. A bit of grassy area outside for a quick relief stop for Lola. The staff were friendly and the self-serve complimentary breakfast was surprisingly decent.
- RoniJan 19, 2022Great location, comfy stay!
I loved this place, would stay again. The only thing that would have made it a little easier is a pet room on the first floor. We had a room on the second floor down the hallway, so when the little guy had to potty, it took a few mins to get downstairs.
- JimJan 17, 2022Great place to stay
Very friendly, clean, great location, and good areas to walk our Golden. Plan to stay on our return trip home.
- MargaretJan 10, 2022Nice room
We were able to get a 1st floor room and it was comfortable. Hotel and room are clean. Limited grass area for dogs. Lots of dog poop left there. Just curious why people don’t pick up their dog’s poop. It’s not hard to do. Breakfast was continental and adequate. Easy on and off I 40. Lots of shopping and restaurants close by.
- Mary BDec 10, 2021St Bernard liked it
Great place for travelers with big dogs. One ding: If you care about hygiene, wear your mask because no one else here does.
- HeidiDec 2, 2021Great Stay!
Great facilities, pleasant staff. Fido loved it too, LOL!!!
- MelissaNov 11, 2021So Friendly
Nice large rooms and two grassy areas for the dog. Noon check-out was a plus.
- ConstanceOct 25, 2021Pleasant stay
Staff was nice. Provided me a 1st floor room. Easy access to the outside. Continential breakfast and laundry services. Room was clean except for the smelly carpet.
- LynnOct 21, 2021Comfortable
The hotel is almost new and very nice. It had all the amenities we wanted. Ray, our cat, was relaxed and comfortable. The staff was friendly.
- ForrestOct 18, 2021Nice people
Nice people.
- CareyOct 14, 2021Nice, clean hotel
Nice hotel, offering decent accommodation for travelers with dogs. Close to I-40 freeway, but relatively quiet. No restaurant onsite, but several options are a short drive away. Hotel front desk associate was polite but not particularly friendly. The room was spacious and comfortable. Modernizing the air conditioning system would make the stay even better. Good value for money.
- ElizabethOct 11, 2021Excellent! Wish every place could be like this
This place has been discovered by pet owners, so you see all kinds of wonderful pets and their smiling owners. Comfortable, clean rooms. Plus this was the only place on our x-country trip that had decent coffee— both regular (my husband) and decaf (me). Also no chemical smells— yay!!
- FrankOct 8, 2021Awesome
Great place. Very friendly.
- MichaelSep 22, 2021Great location
Lots of local options for food and services. Large rooms and amenities.
- KarenSep 12, 2021Great location, nice motel
It's great when you find a great motel that allows our little furkid with a reasonable pet fee.
- HeatherAug 19, 2021Great Stay!
Comfortable room and beds. We were happy to be able to stay with our dogs!
- CindyAug 15, 2021Good!
Lots of outdoor space for my sweetie on a leash. Friendly staff. Comfortable room.
- TandyAug 14, 2021Great Staff
It is so nice to have hotels that welcome dogs.
- WilliamAug 9, 2021Very Nice Hotel
The hotel was attractive and comfortable. The pool was great and the staff was very friendly. Their was plenty of grass for my dog.
- GinaAug 7, 2021Great Place
Super nice, clean and places to walk dogs. Super friendly staff and nice breakfast in the morning. Would stay here again if we find ourselves in Amarillo. Highly recommend!
- MarkJul 15, 2021Something in the room was bothering our dog
We really liked the hotel and staff. For some reason our dog was always shaking with his tail between his legs when he was in our room. After a while he would not go into the room without us pulling him. We ended up taking him to a different hotel in town. Some of our family remained there and really liked it. We think it was a noise from the refrigerator that was bothering our dog, but after we unplugged it he still was scared to be in the room.
- SamanthaJul 11, 2021Meh
Hotel desk clerk was not friendly. Room was ok.
- KipJul 10, 2021Great stay in Amarillo!!
Super friendly and accommodating!!
- SuzanneJul 8, 2021Unplanned stop
We loved the accommodations and so did our puppies. Nice people, nice room and exceptional grassy areas. I now have a new favorite hotel.
- SteveMay 3, 2021Excellent!
Clean, well maintained. Staff is very friendly.
- CharlaApr 26, 2021Easy to find!
The hotel was very clean and everyone was super nice.
- GraceApr 22, 2021It's a hotel, not Chuck E. Cheese
We arrived Saturday around 4p and were exhausted. Descent room on the first floor but down the hallway was the entrance to the pool, oh yay!! From 7:30p to 11p it was kids running up and down the hallway, hi-pitched screaming and laughing, having fun on a Saturday night; I get that but PARENTS please be considerate of others to shut it down (shut them down) by 10p since it is a public place for sleeping. Great location for our little trip and may give it another try but only to check in after 11p and get up/out before the little-ones wake up! Don't get me wrong I lovvee kids but I lovvee sleep just as much if not more. :-)
- DebraApr 12, 2021United States
Clean and staff accommodating
- SarahApr 7, 2021Nice Stay!
Nice stay! Good breakfast! The hotel said they didn’t know my dog would be with me but everything went fine!
- DavidMar 7, 2021Too pricey
The price was pretty high, expecting a little nicer/newer hotel. Price may reflect location right off I-40. Everything else was fine.
- TerriFeb 19, 2021Very Dog Friendly!!
This is are favorite hotel In Amarillo!!
- CharlesFeb 10, 2021Smooth and easy
everything went very smoothly. Just what we needed in a long cross-country trip.
- GregJan 6, 2021Very nice
We had a very nice stay.
- SandyDec 26, 2020Nice!
Nice for overnight
- CarolDec 7, 2020Great Location, great little hotel
Really had a nice stay. Clean hotel, clean and comfy room. Coffee in room and in lobby. To go bags for breakfast because of the pandemic. The only drawback was we were on the 3rd floor which made it a little hard on the dog and the pillows were not great. Otherwise, friendly staff and good overnight visit.
- AnnieDec 3, 2020Recommend
Clean and animal friendly.
- LuecretiaOct 21, 2020Wonderful for Dogs
This is a great hotel for dogs, beautiful grass and room to walk through the parking lot to different grassy areas. That said, the furnishings in our room were rather old. On the plus side, the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was nice. The hotel fills up, so don’t wait until the last minute to get a room.
- PatriciaSep 27, 2020Nice enough
Pretty place, dogs on the 2nd floor only (seems to be a trend) and only little grass sections for walks.
- SusanSep 9, 2020Very nice for one night
Clean and neat
- ChristyAug 23, 2020Great place
Check in was easy-no problems with dogs.
- PatAug 11, 2020Nice place
Great grassy areas for dogs, clean place, nice staff. Toilet took a while to refill but not a big issue. Downside for us was the $20 per pet fee. We travel with three dogs. We usually stay in La Quinta, but under Wyndham there are now pet size limits and fees. And this place is better than the La Quinta.
- KristinJun 25, 2020Guest Review
Country Inn and Suites is our preferred stay for our family of 5 plus 2 labradoodles. Grassy areas, great room—we will stay there again.
- RonMay 6, 2020Easy in easy out
Check in was quick and easy, even with precautions for COVID-19. Several areas around parking lot to take dogs outside with bags in case you left yours in the room. Rooms are clean and comfortable.
- CaitlinFeb 9, 2020Wonderful rooms
The rooms are a very good size which made all the difference when we stayed with 3 animals.
- JohnJan 14, 2020Great Location
Everything went smooth. Plenty of grass for the dog!
- JosephJan 13, 2020Guest Review
Very nice, Zena approved.
- SandraDec 28, 2019All around perfect
Easy on/off from the highway. Great service, nice and convenient spaces for your dog, good breakfast. Been here several times with my dog and each has been a great experience. Highly recommend.
- JohnDec 24, 2019Clean, warm, kind.
No problems of any sort. Place was clean, room was spacious & warm, no needs were unmet. Five bones. :)
- SusanDec 3, 2019Good pet friendly hotel
This is a nice clean hotel with plenty of nearby dining options. There are several grassy areas for the dog. Breakfast was good.
- JenniferNov 24, 2019Sweet place to stay on a long road trip!
Great little hotel, right off of I-40. Lots of dogs around, but no problems! The grassy area goes all the way around the hotel, so plenty of space to walk, just watch where you step because many pet owners don't seem to clean up after their pets!
- DonaldNov 23, 2019New, clean. Eat elsewhere
High carb terrible breakfast but room great.
- ErnestNov 21, 2019Great location, clean, nice grass area
Quiet, large room, great breakfast. United supermarket and deli close by on Soncy Road has outdoor seating area where pet is welcome.
- MariaNov 13, 2019Friendly
A very welcoming place with an above average breakfast. Grassy areas had lots of old dog poop, though. Restaurants close!
- MoniqueOct 30, 2019Great stay
We stayed in multiple hotels in multiple states during our move cross country. The folks at BringFido were very helpful and accommodating. The hotel and the hotel staff were all great. Thank you BringFido for making this happen.
- RichardOct 29, 2019Review
Excellent service
- CindySep 29, 2019Great location
Exceeded our expectations for a hotel that would except dogs. Very clean, amenities for the dogs such as grassy areas, clean up bags provided and dog biscuits upon arrival! My husband and I and our dogs we’re very comfortable. Btw, great breakfast!
- PaulSep 23, 2019Nice room
The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Great advice and directions to nearby dining, albeit limited to takeout orders as the dogs could t be left in the room while I drive off the property. It was too hot to leave the dogs in my car and dine in. The property had a small but useful pet area and a supply of waste bags.
- LauraSep 23, 2019Large comfortable room
The hotel is about a quarter mile from I40 so it's pretty quiet from traffic noise. The rooms are big (2 queen beds) so plenty of space for big crates. I have a 75lb German shorthaired pointer and we had plenty of space for his bed. The gave the dog treats on check in and very nice. No problems with other dogs. Very minor barking as you walked down the hall or opened your door. Everyone was very conscious about being a good neighbor. Nice grassy areas with poo bags.
- SimonaSep 17, 2019Great
Attractive, comfortable hotel. Lots of dogs but the place is in great condition: clean and no pet odors. They give your dog treats at check in. Doggie bags provided in the parking lot. Not a lot of grassy spots for your dog, but enough for quick potty breaks. Breakfast goes til later than most other places, which was a plus. All in all a great find.
- FernAug 26, 2019Great amenities
Clean rooms, clean/safe grounds, great amenities (pool/jacuzzi/breakfast). Best place that allows dogs.
- VirginiaAug 26, 2019Perfect for Dogs!
The room was clean, large enough for me, my 3 dogs, and their kennels. The grass was long and green and there was a lot of it, which must have taken a lot of work because it was August in Amarillo (hot and dry!) and we all know what dog urine does to grass! I would definitely recommend Country Inn & Suites Amarillo to dog owners.
- JimFeb 21, 2019Very good place to stay!
Clean, comfortable room. Lots of grassy areas to walk the dogs. I would highly recommend this hotel.
- StephanieJul 1, 2018Great dog friendly hotel with LOTS of grass
This really is a nice hotel for the $! $20 extra charge for our dog, so worth it. Ton of green grass and front desk staff was amazing with an easy check I process. We stayed on 3rd floor and never had an issue with a quick elevator and it was quiet. A/C was ice cold on a hot and humid day. 100% recommend
- NancyJun 18, 2018Tricky to Find But Worth It
After an especially grueling travel day, the brick tower of Country Inn was a relief to see. All the road construction along I-40 makes the turn onto Soncy a bit tricky. There are grassy areas in the parking lot islands. And a number of restaurants deliver! My Black Lab and I were here in June 2018.
