Quiet spot

Comfort Inn & Suites - Near Robins Air Force Base Main Gate

This turned out to be a fantastic find for us. We were in Georgia for a large agility event in Perry, about 30 minutes away (2024 AKC nationals). It was easy to get to Perry from the hotel, so the distance was manageable. We had a suite on the 1st floor that gave me and my dog plenty of room during our stay. It's quiet, even with railroad tracks right behind the parking lot. Lots of space to walk the dog. The young man who worked the desk in the evenings was great - he got us checked in quickly and had quarters for the laundry, which was a help since I needed to wash a load of clothes to avoid coming home with a suitcase full of dirty clothes. :)

The only downside is that there aren't any restaurants super close by other than fast food. I did find the Kroger on our first night, and then found some other good options within a 20 minute drive. The room had a mini fridge and a microwave so we were set for the mornings. We spent four nights there, and it was well within my budget for the trip, especially considering the size of the room.

Lovely overnight stop!

La Quinta by Wyndham Birmingham Hoover

This hotel was easy to get to off I-65. It's quiet and clean, and we had a first floor room. There's plenty of space for walking dogs, and it isn't far from some quick food options for dinner.

Older but clean and quiet

Best Western Plus Saddleback Inn & Conference Center

This hotel is close to I-40. It’s a bit older but our room was clean and had a door to the outside, a huge help when traveling with dogs. We were there on a Monday night. Might be busier on weekends and in busier travel seasons. Neighborhood was sort of light industrial so no noticeable traffic at night. Front desk staff were very friendly!

Best option for Clovis

Best Western Cannon AFB

The hotel was clean and quiet, with a decent breakfast. Not too much space to walk dogs, so if you stay a few nights I recommend Hillcrest Park for walking trails. The Clovis CC campus is about a quarter mile north and that is a good spot as well. The area around the hotel looks a bit sketchy; this is not an attractive part of Clovis. However, I did feel safe and the staff at the hotel were great. There are decent fast casual restaurants not far away on N. Prince St. so there are food options pretty close by. We were in Clovis for an agility trial and I think this is the only good hotel option for dog people in Clovis right now.

Quiet hotel in convenient location

Best Western PLUS Peak Vista Inn & Suites

This hotel is right off I-25 on the north(ish) end of Colorado Springs. There were several restaurants within about 2 miles of the location. Best of all for me: super close to the specialty vet clinic we were heading to the next day for a surgery for my sweet dog (he's doing fine).

Quiet and convenient location

La Quinta by Wyndham Lubbock North

We were very comfortable at this La Quinta! Lots of grassy areas for the dogs. The room was clean and comfortable, and the hotel was quiet even though it was busy. We would stay again!

Room and hotel were clean and comfortable

Quality Inn Grand Junction Near University

This is an easy-access hotel off I70. The room was clean, and accessible from an outside door. It wasn't the greatest option for a multi-night stay with my dogs however. There isn't much safe space to exercise dogs, and nowhere quiet to walk, because the hotel is on a main drag. It's a good place for a one night stop if you are traveling on, though. I would probably pick one of the hotel options on the other side of I70 next time, since it's a little quieter towards the airport and there are more options for walking dogs. If that isn't an issue for you, everything else was fine with our stay!

Older hotel, but clean

La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Colorado Springs Garden of the Gods

Staff here are very friendly and welcoming - the morning we checked out from our first stay, the desk staff were happily greeting a lovely Great Dane. We stayed here twice; liked our first room a little better than the second, but both were clean and quiet. There are grassy areas for dog walking with bags/waste disposal stations, which was great (shame on the guests who neglected to clean up after their dogs, though!).

The only thing I didn't like about this hotel was the design. It's an older hotel, with rooms mainly with exterior access, which is nice, but the whole place has lots of stairs. One of my dogs is going blind, so the exterior stairs were a problem for her, since they've got gaps between the steps. Interior stairs with carpet were no problem. So, keep that in mind if you or your dog have mobility issues - there are elevators, but you should definitely ask for a ground level room.

Quiet stay, nice room!

Days Inn by Wyndham Grand Island I-80

We stayed here on our way home to NM recently. The hotel is easy to access - right off of I80 - and the room was clean, comfortable and quiet! We had a ground floor room, which was helpful, and the staff were friendly. Not a lot of grass for walking dogs, but it was also snowing and cold the night we were there, so it was a quick trip out to potty anyhow. Would definitely stay there again.
