Six Pooches on Porch Tonight
Barrier Island BrewingWe dined here because of such positive food reviews. Food was very good (Pub burger and Veggie Pita) but not necessarily outstanding. Given the pleasant welcome of six different dogs, we wished we had brought our guy. Definitely recommended for BringFido peeps!

Well-Earned Top Ratings!
Auburn Place Hotel & Suites PaducahPleasant one-night stay on the way from MN to GA. Can see how Auburn Place earned top ratings on Trip Advisor. Room was surprisingly large and included a small sofa, coffee table and wet bar. All property was clean and well-maintained. Breakfast was nice enough but would always appreciate more fresh fruit. All staff were friendly and welcoming. Would recommend asking for a room away from the highway. We did and our room was very quiet!

Immaculate Room
Best Western Riverside InnTraveling from MN to St. Simons Island. Stayed overnight because we remembered a pleasant stay here last year. Pet friendly, nice, grassy inner courtyard for dogs, includes poop bags and garbage can. Immaculate room and hallways. Large, well-stocked breakfast buffet (fresh fruit!) with hard-working and friendly attendant. Recommended! Recycling options in room would be a welcome addition.

Good Dogs and Welcoming Owners
Stuart Nelson Dog ParkTraveling from MN to GA and stop at dog parks every evening. Lovely park with very pleasant dog park area. Dogs were friendly and owners were especially welcoming. Very well-maintained by owners, nice perimeter for getting some owner exercise after a long driving day.

Spacious Area Needs Better Pickup
Dog Park at Jack Benson Heritage ParkTraveling from MN to GA and stopping at dog parks every evening. Benson Park offers a spacious area and multiple agility structures. Unfortunately, weather was a bit drizzly so no other dogs at the park. Walked the dog area perimeter and disappointed that not all owners are picking up after their pets. Also leashed up and walked the entire park - very nice.

Bonus Creek after Long Driving Day
Macon Dog ParkTraveling from MN to GA and stopping at dog parks every evening. Macon's Dog Park was spacious and well-equipped with agility structures, water spigots, picnic tables and seating benches. After several long driving days, the creek was huge, wild, messy fun for our dog. Bring a towel for wiping down! The grounds are nicely-maintained with areas for owners to walk and sit in the sun or shade.

Welcoming and Courteous Staff
La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Goodlettsville - NashvilleFront desk staff was very busy when we arrived but accommodating, welcoming and friendly. The location is somewhat noisy as very close to the highway. Rooms are clean, pretty standard. No specific place for dog walking but bags provided. Staff recommended TexMex restaurant across the parking lot - terrifically authentic and good value.

Mixed Impressions
La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Detroit CantonWe always stay at La Quintas because they are dog-friendly. This site is tired, hard to find and limited in amenities. However, the staff is friendly and tries to help. The halls and elevator were very dirty when we arrived on Friday night but cleaned up by noon Saturday. There were no potty bags at the dog-designated area. We were locked out of our room twice but the manager reconfigured our keys. Wish our experience had been better because we want to support the dog-friendly hotels.
