Valley Forge National Historical Park The Valley Forge National Historical Park, located in King of Prussia, PA, is the site of the 1777-1778 winter encampment of the continental army during the American Revolutionary War. Bring Fido along to explore this pet-friendly park that features 26 miles of authorized trails over 3600 acres that are used for historical purposes, tours, hiking, biking and running. Independence National Historical Park Independence National Historical Park in Philadelphia, PA, is dog friendly in its outdoor areas! While pets are not allowed inside buildings on park grounds, they can participate in outdoor activities such as "Walk in Oney's Footsteps" at the President's House Site and "Pose Like the Signer" at Signers Garden. Fido must remain on a leash no longer than six feet during the entirety of his visit. Most of the grounds are open 24 hours a day to pedestrians. See Details
Struble Trail The Struble Trail is one of 1600 rail-trails supported by Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, a nonprofit organization that is working to create a nationwide network of trails from former rail lines and connecting corridors. Previously an unused railroad corridor, this "rail-trail" is now a great place to walk Fido in Downingtown! The map below shows a parking area with convenient access to the Struble Trail. Flight 93 National Memorial Outdoor areas are dog friendly when you and Fido visit Flight 93 National Memorial in Bedford, PA. Pets are prohibited in all buildings but leashed dogs can join you in certain sections of the memorial as long as they are cleaned up after. Spanning 300-acres in the scenic Pocono Mountains, Pennsylvania’s Bushkill Falls is a nature lover’s delight. With eight waterfalls accessible from just over 2-miles of walking trails, the park is an excellent spot to explore with your pup. Open April through November, the park offers four trails of varying degrees of difficulty, making the falls accessible to visitors of all ability levels. The park is closed from December through March, and operations are weather dependent in April and November. See Details
