From safari tents and yurts to domes and Airstreams, these dog-friendly Airbnbs give Fido a taste of the wild without many of the hassles of traditional camping. They also include several added luxuries you can enjoy together!

Travel off the grid with your four-legged adventurer and stay at this Safari Star Gazer Tent on a farm in Carbondale. The secluded site at Cedar Ridge Ranch has all you need for the perfect glamping experience. Travel back several decades to Ralphie, part of Hotel Luna Mysica located in a desert oasis but just minutes from downtown Taos. Originally built in 1962, this vintage Airstream trailer offers expansive views of the surrounding mountains from multiple decks. Fido will enjoy having free roam in the fully fenced yard shared with other pet-friendly retro camper rentals, but each property has its own leash hook if you need to keep your pup close. The trailer has many original features, but includes updated plumbing and electrical systems, a propane furnace for heat, and a full bathroom with a shower. Spend a day exploring Carson National Forest or take your pooch for a drive along the Enchanted Circle Scenic Byway, then return to the trailer for dinner and to warm your bones around the campfire.

Carmel Valley, CA

For half a century, Camp at Carmel Valley was a rustic kids camp teeming with youngsters, but today, it’s families, couples, and small groups who come for a getaway and to experience nature, Fido included. This campsite with three safari tents nestled beneath the trees features two with queen beds and one with two twins.
