Activities

Dr. Phillips Dog Park

This much-loved fenced dog park includes separate small dog sectioon, water fountains, and shade trees. Enjoy the lovely views while your pet plays off-leash.

Fort De Soto Dog Beach Park

The Fort De Soto Park has large fenced areas for both large and small dogs, including dog showers for those hot days. Dogs are allowed anywhere in the park on a six-foot leash, except on any beach. The Paw Playground area is the exception -- dogs are allowed on the beach, and they are allowed off leash on that area of beach. They can also run free inside the fenced areas. On a hot summer day, you can cool off your dog by hosing him down, and drinking water is available too. The park also has plenty for two-legged visitors too -- an old Spanish fort to explore, gorgeous parks, overnight camping with plenty of amenities, and picnic areas. The north beach was named "America's #1 Beach" in 2008 & 2009 by TripAdvisor.

Turkey Lake Park

Dogs are welcome at this Orlando campground, which also includes hiking trails, games, and butterfly garden.

Downtown Orlando Farmers Market

Bring your well-behaved, leashed pet to the Downtown Orlando Farmers Market in Lake Eola Park where you can shop for farm-fresh, seasonal produce, listen to live music, or enjoy a drink in the beer and wine garden. Want to purchase something special for your pup? You are sure to find vendors selling homemade pet treats, pet supplies, pet clothing, and pet travel accessories.

Lazy Dog Kayak

Lazy Dog Kayak offers a couple of different options. The first is just a regular rental. Rent the kayak, put the dog in front, and off you go across the channel and down the canal. There are plenty of birds and coconuts floating by along the way to keep your dog entertained. Option two is the doggie paddle. Several people take their dogs in the kayaks to a sandbar together. It's like a private island dog park, so your dog will be tuckered out for the rest of the day by the time you make it back to the marina. Lazy dog is located on Stock Island, the first island north of Key West, at mile marker 4. $

Bay Front Park

Bay Front Park is great place to bring your leashed dog for a great shaded stroll around the marina and bayfront.

Events

When you want to really spoil your dog, or just meet other dog owners in Florida who are as crazy about their pets are you are, there's no better place to bring Fido than a dog event. You'll find information on some of our favorite annual dog events in Florida below.
