Two outdoor patios
Muddy Rudder Public HouseLots of outdoor space, but ground is covered in large rocks which made neither of my dogs want to lay down.
So much duck poop
Julia Davis ParkBeautiful park but every inch is covered in duck/geese poop.
Plenty of trails and places to walk.
Zero poop bags so bring your own.
Fenced and unfenced areas
Ann Morrison ParkPlenty of space to run. No issues finding it using Google maps. Plenty of poop bags at the fenced off area.
Crowded
Together Treasure Valley Dog IslandBig area but very crowded. Mainly little dogs. Poop bags available.
Very hard mattresses
Hi-Tide Oceanfront InnAs far as dog friendly goes, it's good. Beachfront, balconies with railings, and plenty of grass and walking areas. As far as humans go, the hotel is VERY dated (circa 1970's) and mattresses are hard as rock.
Small area
Edmonds Marina Beach Off-Leash Dog ParkThere is an off leash beach area for dogs. It is small. Lots of dogs running around with owners not paying attention to them. Typical dog park situation. There’s no trails or other dog area attractions. You can walk them on the sidewalk along the marina - but it’s not any more exciting than any other part of town.
Parking sucks
Discovery ParkWater front access is a loooooonnnngggg walk/hike from any parking. Regardless, plenty of trails - both paved and not.
Signage here is awful. Zero signs to direct you to a parking lot (we only found one, near the playground area).
Lots of space
Olympic Sculpture ParkKeep your dog leashed. Plenty of grassy space and waterfront swimming opportunities
Dog friendly heated patio
Stoup Brewing Kenmoreplenty of outdoor heated and covered space. bring your own bowl to keep pup hydrated
Very dog friendly!
Crowne Plaza Portland-Lake Oswego an IHG HotelIt is surrounded by grass. Super kind staff. Plenty of poop bags. Quiet location. Room service available. Restaurant and full bar on site. We loved it!
Beachfront stay
Lincoln Sands Oceanfront Resort Ascend Hotel CollectionPerfect location. Enclosed dog park on site that is very clean. All rooms have an ocean view. We loved it. Beach is dog friendly
Very quiet
Best Western Inn at Face RockSo much space here - tons of grass. It was very expensive but we were happy with the location. Our room didn’t have AC, so make sure to ask for that if you’ll need it.
No grass
Wild Rivers Motor LodgeRoom was very dirty - we had to Lysol everything. There is zero grass here. They have about 20 flower bed areas with “no pets” signs stuck in them. Pet relief area is a joke, covered in weeds and fox tails. Do your research on fox tails - they are deadly if ingested by your pet. Would never stay here again.
Quiet
Lloyd Hotel Astoria Bayfront Ascend Hotel CollectionComfortable beds. everything was clean. Tons of grass around the property and beautiful walkway along the river.
Wouldn’t go back
Noyo Harbor Beachit did the trick to tire our lab out but it’s not a great dog beach. so many rocks (easy for Fido to twist their ankle) and so much seaweed on the shore.
Gorgeous but…
Glass Beachgreat views, but not a great place to walk with dogs. many cliffs, and thousands of prairie dogs to drive your dog nuts. it was very crowded and people seemed annoyed we had dogs with us. zero garbage cans
So many fox tails
Super 8 by Wyndham Fort BraggThe motel itself was fine. Beds were very uncomfortable for us and walls thin. It is very dog friendly but please do your research about fox tails if you’re not familiar. They can be deadly to dogs if inhaled, and this area is drowning in them. It’s not the hotel's fault but I want to educate dog owners about the dangers of them and how common they really are.
No bathroom area for dogs
Kimpton Everly Hotel Hollywood an IHG HotelAs others mentioned, the area is terrible. Lots of homeless. Hotel is nice and we appreciate no dog fee, but why do all these Kimptons have zero grass areas?!
No grass
Hotel Indigo Gaslamp Quarter an IHG HotelThere used to be a dog relief area on the 9th floor. It closed in April 2023. You can still take your dog up there but it’s just tile now. There is no grass within a 4 block radius. That’s the only bummer. Both of our dogs figured out how to pee on concrete - but wouldn’t poop until we found grass on the other side of Petco park (5-6 blocks away). Otherwise hotel is very dog friendly and nice to stay at.
Dog friendly patio
Goldbelt Bar and GrillOur big dogs were allowed on the patio, but we were not offered water for them. the food is okay, they’re more of a bar than a restaurant.
Fine, but small
Ouray Dog ParkNot much to it. fenced in. poop bags. water. rocky/sandy ground. we found a few pieces of broken glass, so be careful
So accommodating
The Ouray Main Street InnThe nicest owners we’ve encountered. They provide welcome treats for humans and dogs, extra towels for paws or puppy showers, poop bags, and a fenced-in area in case you need to take Fido out at 4am. Would happily stay here again. They’re wonderful.
Best burgers
Grassburger Durango DowntownAll their food is fresh and delicious. Dog friendly outdoor patio
Perfect
Durango Off-Leash Dog ParkSo much space to run. Be ready for your dog to jump in to the fast moving river.
Dog friendly inside
Anarchy Brewinglots of dogs. no water for them, or bowls, so bring your own. small beer list.
Dog friendly but…
Il Vicino Wood Oven Pizzayou have to walk thru the restaurant with your dog to get to their enclosed patio. they did not offer or bring us any water. lots of ants on the patio biting at dogs paws
Four dog-friendly tables
Plaza Cafe Downtownthey didn’t bring us any water. lots of dogs there tho. service was slow
Heck yes
Desert Dogs Brewery & Cidery TaproomSUCH dog friendly staff and patrons. it’s upstairs and indoors. they have pool and shuffle board, plus dog toys and water. beer is delicious. 10 stars
Beautiful grounds
Dog Park at Steele Indian School Parkhandful of homeless people here. plenty of paved paths. there is a dog park but we didn’t stay long due to every other dog owner being on their phone instead of watching their dog
Fine but dirty
Dog Park at Sahuaro Ranch Parkthere is water here for dogs. lots of piles of dog poop. no shade
Crazy unique location
Ruins of Bombay Beachdrive on the beach, dogs can run free, super cool and unique art displays both in the water and on the beach
Great outdoor space
The Cabinpergola over the patio in most parts, super accommodating to dogs. typical bar food and beer.
Very easy walk
McDowell Sonoran PreserveI would not consider this a hike. We were there on a Saturday afternoon and it was very busy, but still plenty of room for them
No pet relief area
Alma San DiegoThis is located in a busy downtown area, with zero grass options within three blocks. Staff didn’t acknowledge dogs at all, nor did they have any info about where to take my dogs to pee. Also, the stairs are “closed” so if your pup doesn’t like long elevator rides, this isn’t the place for you.
Very dog friendly
Amplified Kitchen + Beer Gardenlove the fake grass covering on the second floor patio. great place to watch the sunset. dogs were all chill
Perfect
West Fork Oak Creek TrailheadDogs LOVED the river. so thankful for this app that pointed us to this spot. very busy hiking trails, lots of dogs. Gorgeous scenery
Heck yes
Mother Road Brewing CompanyNicest staff ever - so many dogs here. Loved the beer and food truck.
No pet fee
La Quinta by Wyndham FlagstaffVery appreciative of the no pet fee on our two big dogs. Plenty of poop bags and places to walk them around. Beds are uncomfortable though.
We’ll maintained
Edmond Dog Park at Bickham-Rudkin Parkall enclosed- well maintained. lake still closed. lots of fresh water on site
All homeless people
Dog Park at Los Altos ParkThe whole park is overrun with homeless people. The dog park is open but the rest of the park is closed. Homeless camps in the parking lot.
No issues
Comfort Suites Yukon - SW Oklahoma CityHotel was quiet despite being full. Plenty of grass around property. Bring your own poop bags.
Big Dog Friendly
Hilton Asheville Biltmore Park$50 fee was worth it. beautiful hotel and great location. plenty of grass
High Five
Dog Beach at Prospect ParkVisiting from the Midwest, where dog parks there are similar in color, we were very impressed. Our dogs are not used to being off leash in an unfenced area, so we were nervous. They did great, there are SO many dogs there before 9am when they’re all allowed to be off leash. Loved the pond too.
Great On An October Night
Jennings BeachWe arrived later than we hoped to, it was already dark out, but we had the beach to ourselves. Dogs went nuts running all over the place. No clue on the quality of sand or surrounding areas as we couldn’t see any of them. Great if you’re traveling between NYC and Boston
