Dog Mountain Dog Mountain is THE meeting place for dogs with their people. Located in the breathtakingly beautiful Northeast Kingdom of St. Johnsbury, Vermont, this 150-acre farm has been transformed into a doggy playscape complete with swimming ponds, hiking trails, an art gallery full of dog-related artwork and the only Dog Chapel in existence. The Chapel, built by Vermont folk artist and children's book author Stephen Huneck, is visited by thousands annually to reflect and post message and photos of pets that have passed on. Chatfield Dog Park Chatfield Dog Park in Littleton, CO, offers 70-acres of off-leash fun within Chatfield State Park. An Annual DOLA Pass or Daily DOLA Pass is required. Both are available at the Entrance Stations and the Park Office when staffed. The park offers various terrains for Fido to explore, multiple trails, and ponds for dogs to swim. PetSafe Unleashed Dog Park Bring Fido to play off leash at the fully-fenced PetSafe Unleashed Dog Park located within Sevierville City Park in Sevierville, TN. Features include separate areas for small and large dogs, a dog wash station, and agility equipment. Owners should clean up after their dogs and follow all posted rules. The park is open daily. Quarry Run Dog Park Quarry Run Dog Park in Portland, ME, has seven acres of fenced, off-leash play space for dogs and their humans to enjoy. Inside the large fenced area is a smaller fenced area for smaller dogs to play without stress. Outside of the park, there are acres of trails to explore with your leashed dog. Golden Gate Park Golden Gate Park is one of San Francisco's most popular pet-friendly parks. There are four separate off-leash areas: the southeast section between Lincoln Way, King Drive and 2nd and 7th Avenues; the Northeast section at Stanyan and Grove Streets; the Southcentral area between King Drive, Middle Drive, and 34th and 38th Avenues; and the Golden Gate Park Dog Training Area. This 450-acre area offers a water park, freshwater lake, pet-friendly campground, hiking and biking trails, one of Jacksonville's best surfing beaches and more. Frank S. Ortiz Dog Park This spectacular off-leash park has 138 acres of arroyos and hills, miles of trails, and commanding views of Santa Fe, NM. Frank S. Ortiz Dog Park is one of the largest parks of its kind in the United States. The dog-friendly park is not fenced-in, but dogs can roam comfortably on the trails without approaching the outer perimeters. Dogs are allowed off leash to run and play. The Outback at Shelby Farms Park The Outback at Shelby Farms Park in Memphis, TN, is an awesome dog park that provides more than 100 acres designated for off-leash activities for you and your four-legged pal. Nancy Weidenhamer Dog Park Nancy Weidenhamer Dog Park, located in Destin, FL, is a dog-friendly, 1.5-acre, secure area for Fido to play. Originally known as Destin Dog Park, it was renamed Nancy Weidenhamer Dog Park in 2017 to honor the memory of its founder. Fido is welcome to run off leash at this popular neighborhood gathering spot. There is a separate area for small dogs to play. Balboa Park Leashed dogs are welcome to enjoy the pet-friendly Balboa Park in San Diego, CA. This park is one of the largest urban parks in the country with over 1,000 acres. There are plenty of open spaces, gardens, and walking paths to explore, in addition to the San Diego Zoo, museums, and theaters. There are also two designated off-leash areas for dogs to explore at Balboa Dr at El Prado on the south side of Cabrillo Bridge and Morley Field located northwest of the tennis courts. When not in a designated off-leash area, dogs must be leashed at all times, and humans must clean up after their dogs throughout the park and off-leash areas. See Details
Douglas Family Preserve Douglas Family Preserve is one of two off-leash dog parks in Santa Barbara, CA. This 70-acre property features hiking trails, as well as a beach where your dog can run leash free. Dog owners should bring waste bags and fresh water for their pups. Dogs must stay on leash while entering the park and until the off-leash areas signs are encountered within the park. There are over three miles of dog-friendly park trails, some providing views of the Pacific coastline. See Details
