Cobalt Air accepts a maximum of 2 pets in the cabin on their flights, so it is important that you book Fido their spot as soon as your travel plans are confirmed. The latest you can reserve them passage is 72 hours prior to departure. You can contact the Call Center at (+357) 24-00-00-01. Pets are not permitted to travel to the UK with Cobalt Air.
Pets in the Cabin
Pets can travel in the cabin with Cobalt Air if the combined weight of the pet and carrier is under 17 lbs (8 kg). The pet must remain inside their carrier underneath the seat in front of you for the duration of the flight. The pet fee for animals being transported in the cabin is 40 EUR.
Pets in Checked Baggage
Animals who exceed the maximum weight to be transported in the cabin can travel in the hold instead. The maximum weight for pets in the hold is 70 lbs (32 kg). Cobalt Air allows each passenger to transport 4 pets each in the hold. Pets will travel in a pressurized and temperature controlled compartment right under the cabin. Animals weighing under 55 lbs (25 kg) have a pet fee of 70 EUR. Those weighing between 57 lbs (26 kg) and 70 lbs (32 kg) have a pet fee of 130 EUR.
Pets in Cargo
Unaccompanied or very large pets may qualify for travel as cargo in the hold instead. Additionally, any animal transportation from/to UK has to be done in this way. Cobalt Air will accept a maximum of 10 pet carriers on a single flight, so you should contact their freighting partner, AIA Pets, at (+357) 22-008-300 as soon as your travel plans are confirmed.
For pets traveling in the cabin, carriers must not exceed 16" L x 10" H x 13" W (43 cm x 26 cm x 35 cm). For pets traveling in the hold, carriers must be large enough for pets to travel comfortably inside.
Cobalt Air does not allow the following breeds to travel in either the cabin or the hold: American Pit Bull Terrier, American Staffordshire Terrier, Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Bull Terrier (Miniature Bull Terriers are not considered fighting dogs), American Bulldog, Caucasian Ovcharka (Caucasian Shepherd Dog), Dogo Argentino Karabash (Kangal Dog) (Anatolian Shepherd Dog), Rottweiler. Additionally, snub-nosed dogs and cats will not be allowed as checked baggage or as air cargo due to their inability to breathe easily and cool themselves down. Certain snub-nosed breeds may be allowed to travel in the cabin.
