Indian Riverside Park Indian Riverside Park is a dog-friendly park in Jensen Beach, FL. This waterfront park offers a 3/4 mile walking path and boardwalk, a fishing pier, fountains, beaches, and much more. Please note that dogs are not allowed inside of the children's museum or the on-site mansion. See Details
Pet Friendly Stephen Foster Folk Culture Center State Park
Stephen Foster Folk Culture Center State Park Dogs are welcome to enjoy some of the trails at Stephen Foster Folk Culture Center State Park. Unfortunately, they are not allowed to enter any of the buildings that commemorate the American composer, Stephen Foster, who wrote the song that made the Suwannee River famous, Old Folks at Home. Even though you can't check out the museum, you can still have a great day on the hiking trails that take in high river bluffs and limestone outcroppings, swamp forest, hammocks, and piney flatwoods alongside the Suwannee River. You might even spot wildlife along the trails, including gopher tortoise, box turtles, alligators, white-tailed deer, wood ducks, and a number of different types of bird. See Details
Washington Oaks Gardens State Park Nestled between the Atlantic Ocean and the Matanzas River, the dog-friendly Washington Oaks Gardens State Park preserves 425 acres of coastal scenery along State Road A1A in Palm Coast, FL. The park's eastern boundary holds one of the largest outcroppings of coquina rock on the Atlantic Ocean, creating a picturesque boulder-strewn beach. Pets may be on the walking and hiking trails only. Pets may not be in the formal gardens or on the beach side of the park. See Details
Edward Medard Conservation Park One of the largest regional parks in the county, Edward Medard Conservation Park in Plant City, FL is a dog-friendly area where leashed pups are welcome to explore. The park features both paved and unpaved trails, picnic pavilions, fishing, boating, and a campground. There is an entrance fee for visitors. See Details
Ravine Gardens State Park Enjoy the gardens and an extensive trail system at Ravine Gardens State Park, a pet-friendly park in Palatka, FL. There are numerous picnic sites, equipped with tables and grills, available for visitors. Pets are allowed in Ravine Gardens State Park and on the multi-use trail system. They must be kept on a six-foot, hand held leash and well behaved at all times. Pets may not be left unattended at any time. Please pick up after your pet. Potty bags are provided at two locations in the park. See Details
Hammock Park Hammock Park is a dog-friendly park in Dunedin, FL, that contains pretty boardwalks that weave through the woods, a butterfly garden, a disc golf course, a comfortable picnic area, and a playground. Fido can join you on the boardwalks if they are on a leash under six feet and owners clean up any mess that they leave behind. There are pet waste stations provided and spots for Fido to have a drink, too. See Details
Caloosahatchee Creeks Preserve (East) Caloosahatchee Creeks Preserve is home to a number of pet-friendly trails in North Fort Myers, FL. Separated by Interstate 75 with two separate access points, the east side features a 1.5-mile boardwalk and paved trail that meanders through wetland, hammock and pine flatwood ecosystems, as well as three miles of additional primitive hiking trails. Dogs are welcome to join you, as long as they are leashed and well-behaved on the trail. See Details
Crystal River Archaeological State Park Crystal River Archaeological State Park is a 61-acre, dog-friendly recreation area in Crystal River, FL. Leashed dogs are welcome to join you for a hike on the trails. The park is steeped in Native American history and is home to a number of burial grounds. Located on an expansive coastal marsh, fishing and bird watching are the most popular activities to partake in at this location Pets are not permitted inside the visitor center, and there is an entrance fee. Paynes Prairie Preserve State Park Dogs are welcome at Paynes Prairie Preserve State Park in Micanopy, FL. Due to potential conflict with alligators, snakes, and bison, pets are not allowed on some of the trails in the park, but this won't stop you and Fido having an awesome time. You can still wander the Wacahoota Trail, leading to an observation trail; Chacala Trail, a series of loop trails; and a number of other trails. The trails that are not pet-friendly are Cone's Dike Trail, Bolen Bluff Trail, and La Chua Trail. See Details

Lower Green Swamp Preserve Lower Green Swamp Preserve is a pet-friendly destination in Plant City, FL. You and your pooch have many different trails to choose from, both short and long. Keep your dog leashed around other trail users. You may run into other dogs and horses on certain trails. Dog owners are reminded to clean up any mess that is left behind by pups. Colt Creek State Park Pet-friendly Colt Creek State Park in Lakeland, FL features 5,000 acres of native Central Florida habitat, including longleaf pine flatwoods, lakes and winding creeks, and thick cypress domes and open vistas. There are 15 miles of multi-use trails at the park for you and Fido to explore. Dogs must be on a leash at all times, and there is an entrance fee to visit. See Details
Halpatiokee Regional Park Halpatiokee Regional Park is a dog-friendly outdoor recreation area in Stuart, FL. Leashed dogs are welcome to join you on the hiking trails of this 65 acre park. The park is surrounded by a wetland preserve, so be on the lookout for alligators. See Details
Lake Griffin State Park Leashed dogs are welcome at Lake Griffin State Park, made up of 620-acres of marshland and trees in Fruitland Park, FL. Enjoy the two pet-friendly, sandy hiking trails that meander through roughly two miles of the park's woodland. Canoeing and kayaking are also popular activities at the park. Please keep Fido on a leash that is 6-feet in length or shorter, and be aware the dogs are not permitted in any of the buildings at the park. Trails can be very wet during the rainy summer months. Gainesville-Hawthorne State Trail The dog-friendly Gainesville-Hawthorne State Trail in Florida welcomes Fido on a leash under six feet long. A number of observation spots on the trail offer views of the prairie, home to bison, wild horses, and numerous alligators. See Details
Fanning Springs State Park Dogs are welcome at Fanning Springs State Park in Florida. Although Fido isn't welcome in the water, you can explore the dog-friendly nature trail together and check out the wildlife and habitats that exist on the banks of the 246-mile long Suwannee River. There is an entrance fee per vehicle. See Details
Captain Forster Hammock Preserve Captain Forster Hammock Preserve is a hidden gem on the Indian River in Vero Beach that goes from the river to the ocean. This 3/4 mile maintained trail passes through wonderful oak hammocks and wetland areas directly to the ocean. When you cross A1A the trail continues through another forested canopy ending under a stand of Australia pines with chairs and benches. Because this property is in the town of Indian River Shores, the beach is pet friendly for leashed dogs. Restrooms and water are at the trailhead but not at the beach. See Details
The Barnacle Historic State Park The Barnacle Historic State Park is a dog-friendly attraction in the Coconut Grove area of Miami, FL. The Barnacle itself is a house built in 1891, a throwback to a bygone era. Although Fido can't go inside the building, you can explore the 5 acres of land surrounding it together, including a winding buggy trail through the hammock and forest that still remains intact. There is an entrance fee to visit the park, and pets must be leashed and cleaned up after. See Details
Manatee Springs State Park Manatee Springs State Park in Chiefland, FL, is dog friendly. Unfortunately, Fido is not welcome on the boardwalks that make this park famous, but that doesn't mean they can't have a great time in this interesting area! There are 8.5 miles of nature trails in the area, so you can explore the cypress swamps, sinkhole ponds and uplands together and there's even a safe connection to the 32-mile Nature Coast State Trail if you're hungry for more. Dogs on a leash under six-feet can also wade into the spring run at the canoe launch with their owners, but are not permitted in buildings or the swimming area. See Details
Leon Sinks Geological Area Leon Sinks Geological Area is a pet-friendly place to bring your pooch for a lovely walk in Tallahassee, FL. Located on the Woodville Karst Plain in southern and southwestern Leon County, this mature karstic area on the Upper Floridan Aquifer is home to one of the most extensive underwater cave systems in the world and connects to Wakulla Springs. Explore the forest, swamps and sinks with your leashed pooch. See Details
