Pet Friendly Baker Beach
Baker Beach Located approximately one mile south of the Golden Gate Bridge, pet-friendly Baker Beach in San Francisco is a great spot to take your dog for a view of the famous landmark. Dogs are permitted off leash on Baker Beach north of Lobos Creek, but they must be leashed south of Lobos Creek. Picnic facilities are available. See Details
Sunset Cliffs Natural Park Sunset Cliffs Natural Park is a dog-friendly park in San Diego, CA. This network of trails and cliffs made for climbing is one of the country's most beautiful sunset spots. Anza-Borrego Desert State Park Anza-Borrego Desert State Park, located in Borrego Springs, is the largest state park in California. Although dog-friendly in some areas, pups must be on a leash no longer than six feet and under immediate control. Pets must be in a tent or vehicle during nighttime hours and are not allowed cross-country or on hiking trails. Despite not being able to access the paths, you can still enjoy the rugged landscape formed largely by erosion from rain, snow, ice and wind. See Details

Douglas Family Preserve Douglas Family Preserve is one of two off-leash dog parks in Santa Barbara, CA. This 70-acre property features hiking trails, as well as a beach where your dog can run leash free. Dog owners should bring waste bags and fresh water for their pups. Dogs must stay on leash while entering the park and until the off-leash areas signs are encountered within the park. There are over three miles of dog-friendly park trails, some providing views of the Pacific coastline. See Details
Kiva Beach Leashed dogs are welcome at the wonderful dog-friendly Kiva Beach in South Lake Tahoe. East of Tallac Point, dogs are permitted on a leash (an El Dorado Country ordinance). Dogs are not permitted on the federally protected wetlands west of Tallac Point (where the Lake of the Sky trail concludes).This is for the protection of wildlife in this fragile ecosystem. Fort Funston Located off of Skyline Blvd, Fort Funston is one of the best places in San Francisco to bring your dog for a day of fun. This recreation area has lots of room for Fido to run and play, several dog-friendly trails, and beach areas. Dogs must be on a leash in the Bank Swallow habitat areas. Keep an eye out for fenced or signed areas were dogs are not permitted, and note that the Coastal Trail north of Horse Trail intersection is closed due to erosion. See Details
Blue & Gold Fleet Bay Cruises Leashed pups are welcome to join you on the dog-friendly, one-hour Bay Cruise Adventure and the "Escape from the Rock" tours which take in gorgeous views of the bridges, piers, and Alcatraz in San Francisco, CA. Dog owners are responsible for their pup and must keep Fido on a leash or in an approved carrier at all times while on board. Failure to do so is grounds for removal. RRUFF Dog Park RRUFF Dog Park is a beautiful off-leash park inside Johnson Springview Park in Rocklin, CA, with three separate areas for large dogs, small dogs, and pups with special needs. The special needs area is a fenced 30x60 foot area with artificial turf, concrete pathway, large shade structure, and benches. La Jolla Cove Leashed dogs are welcome on the beach at La Jolla Cove, in San Diego, CA before 9 a.m. and after 6 p.m. from April 1 to October 31, and before 9 a.m. and after 4 p.m. from November 1 to March 31. The beach is located at the northeast end of Ellen Browning Scripps Park. Take Fido for a walk above the bluffs on the La Jolla Coast Walk Trail, explore tide pools, or find a spot on the beach to relax. Always keep dogs away from wildlife. See Details
